My stay at Hotel Ease Mong Kok was disappointing, especially considering the positive reviews I had read before booking. The cost per night, while initially appealing at $75CAD/$55USD/$82AUD/€51EUR, did not reflect the quality of the accommodations. ||||The location, situated in a seedier area of Mong Kok with visible signs of prostitution around the side streets, didn't directly impact my safety but did detract from the overall ambiance. Upon arrival, the lack of staff assistance with luggage was noted, as guests need to take the elevator from the parking lot to the check-in desk.||||The check-in process was efficient, but I encountered an issue with the room type. Despite booking a double bed, I was given a room with two single beds. After inquiring, I was informed that no other rooms with a double bed were available until the following day at noon. This inconvenience was compounded by a seemingly non-transparent offer for an "upgraded" room with a double bed for an additional 220HKD/night. This sudden availability after initially claiming no such rooms were available felt like a potential scam.||||The room itself was below standard. It had a dorm-like feel with old, stained carpets, rusted eyelets on the shower curtains, and overall worn-out furnishings. While the bed linen and shower were clean, the cramped quarters and lack of upkeep were disappointing.||||Despite Agoda's attempts to rectify the situation by agreeing to cover the upgrade cost upon submission of a receipt, the hassle and overall experience led me to check out after just 4 nights. This property did not live up to its positive reviews, and I caution future guests to take online reviews with a...
Read moreEase hotel was in a very good location in HK. Walking distance to the MTR station. Check in was fast and smooth. The counter staff was kind enough to give me an upgrade to Seaview room upon request. In room WIFI was OK. Room was small, clean and no bad odor upon entering. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on and the bedsheet was really clean. 2 pillows and a small cushion was provided for each twin bed. The room aircon was not noisy as some reviews had mentioned. The 2 service lifts were fast. Room card was required to access to each lift level which provide good security. However, there were 2 flaws. Firstly, the housekeeping was done very early ard 8 to 9am. The auntie knock on our door when me and my mum was still sleeping then. This is the first hotel that I stayed where housekeeping start so early. Usually should be done in the late morning or early afternoon when nobody is in the room already. Secondly, the toilet basin was too small and not user friendly. Luggage storage was before 11.59pm on the day when you check out. We collected ours ard 10pm and the uncle from the hotel is very friendly. To conclude, I will still consider to stay in this hotel next time if coming back to HK. As it's still worth the price and quality if based on location. Unless you are someone who is bothered by...
Read moreOverall very good experience. Very close to MTR station. Very convenient for travelling to anywhere in HK.I have got a free upgrade on the room which is very lucky. The room I got is not the cleanest ever seen but definitely acceptable and fine as this is not a five star hotel. But for the bed, toilet, those stuff are perfectly cleaned and shiny. The view is good and there is a little sea-view. The air-con is working perfectly in hot weather 30°C and can be freezing cold 16°C in the room as u wish. The service is very good as well. I checked in at night and he is very friendly and polite and helpful. I call him again with the WiFi password and he kindly answer as well in the late night. With the given price, everything is fine. The only downside is there is no Air-con in the corridor and it can be hot and wet when u go out of Ur cold and dry room while waiting for the lift. The windows can't be opened as well. Ur only option is Aircon which may seems not...
