Haidilao Hot Pot — Restaurant in Kowloon

I'm a tourist from Korea. I've visited Haidilao in Shanghai and Korea. Because of my positive experiences in Shanghai and Korea, I visited Haidilao again in Hong Kong. However, Hong Kong's service was the worst, so I think my trip will remain a bad one.

There wasn't a single positive moment, so I'll just list the negatives. (The wait time was about 30 minutes, and I have no complaints about that. I knew it was crowded.)

The overall attitude is terrible. We didn't speak Chinese or Cantonese, so we had to use English. In Shanghai, the staff member kindly explained things to us using a translator. However, in Hong Kong, when we couldn't speak Cantonese, the staff member's expression turned sour. I knew the ordering system and how to use WeChat, and fortunately, I was able to order easily on my own. However, the staff member didn't do anything other than hand me a tablet.

The order was seriously missed. I placed two orders, at around 12:40 and 1:30. It took 20 minutes for the soup to arrive. No toppings were provided. Then came the meat and cabbage, followed shortly by the cola. The cola took 30 minutes to arrive, without ice. We were hungry, so we placed a second order at 1:30. The Tsingtao bottled beer, bamboo shoots, tofu wraps, and frozen tofu from our first order were still missing. When we told the staff about this, they finally brought out the bottled beer. The remaining missing ingredients didn't arrive until close to 2:00.

Even the frozen tofu never arrived.

The meat from our second order (at 1:30) took over 20 minutes to arrive, and the enoki mushrooms (oyster mushrooms) were never served. Unable to order more food that wasn't coming, we simply stopped eating.

The refund wasn't even processed properly. I tried to leave after requesting a refund for the mushrooms that weren't served. However, the employee promised to refund us but never returned. Eventually, we went to the counter with our tablet PCs. They didn't even look at us until we called them over. Then, the counter staff and the table staff argued in front of us and told us to go inside. We ended up paying at our dirty table, which was already full. We even paid for the frozen tofu we hadn't received. I only ordered two items in two hours, and I didn't even get them properly. The meal was terrible. It ruined my trip.

In addition, we received absolutely no table service. When we ordered tomato soup, other branches offer tomato soup, but we didn't get that, and we didn't get any extra broth, which made the soup taste weird. The sauce bar was empty and had a limited selection. There weren't even any bowls, so we couldn't eat the sauce we initially ordered. Naturally, we received no service whatsoever. Seeing other tables being served so quickly really made me feel uncomfortable.

*We checked with the hotel and found that there was a discount. However, we did not receive a proper apology, and the cost of frozen tofu was still included. I don't even know what kind of food...

This restaurant has over a hundred outlet across Chine. You can find it overseas too, in LA, in Singapore, in Taiwan, and in Tokyo.

I tried the one in Beijing a month ago and today I visited this one in Hong Kong. 海底撈全國有過百分店，上個月到北京試過，一試難忘，在香港再試卻有點失望。

Menu in Hong Kong here is wayyyyy narrowed from its menu in Beijing. Options are very limited. And didn't show how long the indreginate should be in the hot soup, But the soup base is still good enough. But you can still order a ramen, which comes as a ramen making performance at your table. Is a very popular "item" in the menu. 餐牌中選擇十分少，只有十分基本的選擇，十分失望。但至少還有即場拉麵表演。 This restaurant is never famous for its food, but for its service. Services in here are not comparable to those in Beijing, but I will say it is at a very high standard in Hong Kong, not to mention the restaurants in Hk are famous for their "black face culture". I even went for a kitchen tour, was just a 3 mins tour but the staff explained how their kitchen works in details. Was a interesting experience. 海底撈的貼心服務是出了名，而且還可去廚房作一個三分鐘的參觀，有趣。

But the staff there provides straw to the drinks even I requested no straw already. And they gave out plastic hairband when you have long hair, was a very sweet move but would be a waste at the same time. As 3 long hair ladies in my table didn't use the hairband, and due to the concern of hygiene, the shop will not reuse the hairband. I hope the shop can raise their environmental awareness as the quantities of straw and hairband will not be small in this 24 hours restaurant. 但環保意識不足，應多作改善，應少派膠飲管和頭髮橡筋。

The floor is very slippy and greasy, is very dangerous for everyone, as there is a buffet area that we are get and mix our own dipping sauces and get unlimited fresh fruit, and people are going in and out from their tables through that greasy floor. 地面十分滑和油，必須小心。

This place is amazing!! more than amazing, it's incredible, fabulous, wonderful. Did I say I liked it? English menu with ordering via iPad. lots of options for all pakares, with the dishes coming out quickly from the very helpful staff. loved the chicken soup which was a really nice palate cleanser before starting the meal. we had,a spicy soup and a chicken, both of which were really yummy. prices were super reasonable and service was very on the ball. friendly and helpful. There was lots of different meats, including pork, beef and lamb shabu shabu. There was also clams, oysters, fish skin, ducks blood (yummier than it sounds) and a great selection of vegetables. My little darling girl enjoyed the mochi at the end while I got a kick out of the dragons fruit. They were also helpful enough to provide aprons for all of us, which was a very thoughtful touch. It's not often that I leave tips....but the waitress here totally earned it. this is one place that I will totally, definitely, most certainly be...
