味千拉麵油麻地店 Ajisen Ramen Yau Ma Tei — Restaurant in Kowloon

AMBIENCE Seats appeared to be very limited but after tasting today's ramen, it would hardly matter and I would definitely return and blend in.

FOOD Ajisen Ramen was really impressive in terms of flavor and texture. Broth was mighty tasty, not too strong, and served very hot. Using the huge spoon was fun for slurping down the broth! Noodles had a slightly chewy texture and that was enjoyable thanks to the acceptable thickness. Meat slices were so tender and very easy to break apart with chopsticks. Egg yolk's texture was interesting and delicious too.

BEVERAGE Cold Lemon Tea was a drink I grew to appreciate. As we stayed in Hong Kong longer, I noticed many establishments serve healthier beverages and this was one of them. After pressing the lemon with my spoon, the taste was just right.

SERVICE Waiting time was very reasonable but I wish the servers would at least look more cheerful. I understand work can be tiring but smiles would help us all look and feel refreshing and light. Nevertheless, I'll still do my best to throw some smiles out there if it can help. :) Banging ramen bowls down on the table during service may need to be looked into as well. It just feels rude to be served that way and it's very difficult to throw a smile...

Fancied something different for dinner and stumbled across this ramen restaurant. They were busy but they managed to get us a table for 4. Service was ok.

Ordered via the QR code and we paid in cash as we didnt have their common local payment methods (apps). Food arrived quick but everything was still hot in temperature.

The ramen is quite nice with a very affordable price. They have quite a lot of varieties in choices and at a very cheap price too for ramen especially. The dining area itself is quite big and the portion size is very good for the price (price to satisfaction ratio is quite high). There are definitely better places for ramen but this place is really nice and cheap so if you're a student and craves for a decent ramen, this is a...
