I always fancy a good rice-noodle rolls (cheung fan) in HK. Everytime when I walked pass Tung Tat after exiting from the A2 exit at the MTR station at Mong Kok, I would always see a long queue of people lining up to buy the rice noodle rolls and fish balls at this store. Finally, I managed to give it a go! The rice noodle rolls were nice, but it's not as nice as what I remembered. They were a bit too soft and I would expect the cheung fan should be a little bit slight-chewy. The fishballs were lovely & bouncy & I finally understood why they were so popular! I didn't eat inside, I was eating while holding the plastic bowl & standing outside like most peope did. Highly recommend it if you are nearby!

Surprisingly not many places in Kowloon makes these Shanghai breakfast rice rolls (粢飯) anymore but they do here and it's one of their popular food item too. Ordered two rice rolls (粢飯) and two skewers of fish siu mai as a takeaway for breakfast. Reasonable price. Cash only. The rice rolls were quite big in size and the filling was ample (meat floss, preserved vegetables, and a fried dough stick). They were tasty but we thought the rice could have been softer / stickier. The fish siu mai were excellent. They tasted freshly made and the texture had a bit of QQ. The sauce that went with it was delicious. Recommend trying both!

This place is usually a take-out place for us, specifically for the 鱼蛋. But we decided to have a quick eat-in tea break today - to try a few new things. The 猪肠粉 was quite interesting, not much flavour by itself of course, got to make sure it gets a good coating of the cocktail of sauces. The 糯米饭 was very good, and I'll say it is the highlight. The curry 鱼蛋 is a known quantity to us. The only let down was the fried noodle.

love this place which has been around for at least 20 years. I always come here for the for quick noodles, and fried treasures, the noodles here are always good. This time tried the fake sharks fin soup, the soup colour was dark caramel containing glass noodles, sliced mushrooms and meat. My friend got this bowl of pork in soup, basically fat pork belly, which stunk like hell! Don't know why the pork bowl is considered the signature item because I didn't find...
