I booked a two-night stay at this guest house using an online travel site. It's in a good location, right near the MTR, stores, the harbor and popular sites. The check-in desk would have been difficult to find were it not for what I read in reviews. I entered the main Nathan Road entrance to Mirador Mansions, took one of the two skip-stop elevators to the 16th floor, turned left and found a unit with a large sign outside, listing the names of all the guesthouses it operates. I was buzzed in and the clerk promptly checked me in, taking just a copy of my passport and giving me a key to a room in a unit just down the corridor. Some have said the wait for the elevator can be long but the longest I waited was around two minutes.||||I used a keycard to access the unit and the metal key to enter the room. The suite had about five other units and a microwave and water cooler was located in the hall. The room was tiny, as expected, but clean, furnished with a twin bed, night stand, wall-mounted TV, mirror, hand dryer, fridge, window with air conditioning, phone and wifi that seemed to work OK. Bathroom was a shower stall with a toilet, small sink and a handheld shower on a hook on the wall. There was a small hot water heater activated by wall switch. There were four hooks on the wall. There were a good number of outlets, including a universal outlet on the hairdryer. All electricity required the key card to be inserted in a slot but any card could be used. I was given one monogrammed towel, one comforter and a small pillow. There was a glass, toothbrush and paste. ||||The bathroom door didn't lock which was only a problem when taking a shower as the floor could get a little wet. The bathroom exhaust fan had no cover which isn't that safe, though not that big a deal. One day, I was given a towel that was a bit threadbare and had an obvious hole in it. These are minor issues. However, the biggest problem I encountered was checking out. When I left, there was no one at the checkout desk, no way to access the suite in which it was located to drop off my key and no instructions were given verbally or in written form as to how to handle this circumstance. Luckily, a man staying in that suite happened to be outside smoking, let me know and I simply left my key on the desk. If not, I likely would have just left the key on the bed but I prefer to check out the right way. ||||All-in-all a positive experience and I'd...
Read moreBooked this place for 3 nights for our trip to hongkong as this was prime location and under our budget. This business is located in mirador mansion.
Rooms are very small, so is every other hotel in hongkong how muchever you pay. We booked pearl premium guesthouse but they have several guesthouses under same management. We got manila guesthouse. This review is about manila guesthouse instead of pearl guesthouse.
Getting to the building is easy but not easy to reach the reception area or even the rooms as they keep changing the location and also no prior messages were sent about where to go and how to reach. Building lifts are pretty confusing with odd even numbers and had to wait a lot , each time we wanted to change floors. We almost wasted 35-40mins before we finally got into room.
We had booked twin room for 2 of us thinking that would give more space to sleep. But book the double one with window. Bathroom is very tiny and literally no much space. But everything is so clean! They make up bed everyday, clean the room and change towels every single day.
There was free water and oven in our floor for common use. Fridge in our room. Tv was working but nothing to watch as it only had local channels. Shower- hot water with good force.
Indian receptionist was very helpful. Just make sure to leave a message a day before your arrival and ask how to reach the exact location. But mostly they wont respond to query. I would stay here if I ever visit hongkong again. Highly recommended even though the room and bathroom were small, it was...
Read moreWe had a good 4D3N stay at Pearl Premium Guest House. Recommended for budget travellers. The room is smaller than regular hotel rooms, I expected worst but it’s just enough for me and my mom and we have plenty of space to move around. Overall it was a comfortable stay.
Pros: Budget friendly. Very good location. Near mtr and bus stops. Walking distance to tourist spots within TST and stores and restaurants around. Have private toilet. It was comfy stay, the comforter felt so good. We have window and have view outside the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui. The room was well maintained with daily cleaning. Shower have heater. Toiletries was provided, with daily change of bath towels and garbage was taken out daily. There’s a water dispenser, microwave and electric kettle outside the rooms and a refrigerator inside. There’s TV with local channels. The attendant/receptionist is Filipina and welcoming.
Cons: It’s more on the building itself not with the Guest house. The building only have 2 elevators (odd and even floors) which is used as service and passenger elevator. Elevator capacity gets full immediately depending, meaning it has small weight capacity. So the wait is very long, there are times that the queue/line is long and it takes 2-3 round trip until you’re able to get your turn. Not for people who expects a luxurious amenities. Check in is at 16th floor, and depending on your reservation your room will be assigned in a different floor.
