3.5 stars Venue: on 30(-31/F)of I square. It'd have a good view if arranged window tables indoor or outdoor. Luxury setting. Large and very spacious. Comfy seating, but very large, heavy, and long table cloths trapped my legs. More privacy. Reservation is recommended. --- 7.8/10
Service: very busy, obviously understaffed. Need to draw wait-persons' attention. Served a small teapot of hot tea immediately if you want tea and poured tea for us once (when tea served only). But never came to ask or refill tea. Waiters were polite but not attentive. Only one female food server was very nice and superb, always smiling, and provided better service. She introduced the seasonings on the table for us. Served food fast. We came for lunch, reminded us of 90-minute dining time at the beginning, last order 30 minutes before time up, pay on time. We were not asked to leave immediately when time up. --- 7/10

Read moreHorrible service. I arrived early before 7pm. Just wanting a drink. It was raining heavy so the terrace was closed. Understandable However i was totally ignored from exiting the lift to standing at the bar for ten minutes, eventually I persuaded the “waitress”to ask the lady at a near by table to give up the spare chair her handbag was resting on so I could sit at the corner of the bar like a loner. Ordered a cocktail. It was poor. Was charged $13 service for the pleasure. I had booked a table for 10pm so went to have a drink elsewhere when I came back the waitress sat me and explained they had waived the minimum spend fee and I was allowed to sit at the window. Tea was brought, i asked a suited server for the vegetarian menu and how many dishes to order, he recommended two, seemed reasonable compared to any other previously Michelin’s star restaurant I’d been too. It was not. The vegetable hotpot with lotus was amazing but huge then to be followed by what I can only described was luke warm vegetable and steamed tofu in cold soy sauce. I sent it back and it was taken for the bill which the waiter then brought whilst I was eating and then told me the restaurant was closed. The bar however is open till 1:30 so as a hospo professional I would personally have just handed over to other staff members especially considering I had already forced the client to pay mid meal. In summary I’m not surprised they lost their Michelin star. I’ve had better service at cafes in Hong Kong and if it wasn’t for the view from the terrace I’d be surprised if they had customers at all, if you can afford to go here you can afford to go somewhere else better, I will be telling all of my friends and business travellers...
Read moreThis restaurant offer great views over the harbour! Just amazing, although to get the view you have to pay an additional fee.
The service is somewhat mixed. They have a clear hierarchy between the personell. I for once do not appriciate this cause you dont get a personal touch and relation to your person. The foid is very quick and nicely presented. The food is good but nothing i would return for.
The whole experience if you love food is just off.
I started with a scallop, which was fine, but the menu was presented in pictures so it ws hard to know what to expect of the sides that came with it. Some mushrooms and a sauce, not that exciting and to little salt and pepper. After that I had the peking duck.
They never askef if i had ordered the peking duck before, which i have. They didnt cut the bird at my table which is half the experience, they didnt offer a dish for the rest if the meet from tve duck which is standard..so what happened to all that food?
Also the cucumber is not freshly cut, it was prepeared hours before, the crispiness was gone, the slices were 4-5 times the size of the onion - not good. The wheat bread had to much wheat taste so i had to cut them in half so that they wouldnt be to dominant tastewise.
The prices are ok.
The sommelier Ralf is great, thanks to him my dinner was nice..although i kept thinking of my last visit to yan to heen at intercontinental! That is a restaurant i...
