Horrible service. I arrived early before 7pm. Just wanting a drink. It was raining heavy so the terrace was closed. Understandable However i was totally ignored from exiting the lift to standing at the bar for ten minutes, eventually I persuaded the โwaitressโto ask the lady at a near by table to give up the spare chair her handbag was resting on so I could sit at the corner of the bar like a loner. Ordered a cocktail. It was poor. Was charged $13 service for the pleasure. I had booked a table for 10pm so went to have a drink elsewhere when I came back the waitress sat me and explained they had waived the minimum spend fee and I was allowed to sit at the window. Tea was brought, i asked a suited server for the vegetarian menu and how many dishes to order, he recommended two, seemed reasonable compared to any other previously Michelinโs star restaurant Iโd been too. It was not. The vegetable hotpot with lotus was amazing but huge then to be followed by what I can only described was luke warm vegetable and steamed tofu in cold soy sauce. I sent it back and it was taken for the bill which the waiter then brought whilst I was eating and then told me the restaurant was closed. The bar however is open till 1:30 so as a hospo professional I would personally have just handed over to over staff members especially considering I had already forced the client to pay mid meal. In summary Iโm not surprised they lost their Michelin star . Iโve had better service at cafes in Hong Kong and if it wasnโt for the view from the terrace ide be surprised if they had customers if you can afford to go here you can afford to go somewhere else and better, I will be telling all of my closest friends and business travellers...
ย ย ย Read moreThe absolute worst bar/restaurant i have been in HK i came here on my expects good dinner with a nice view and too bad they closed the bar to fixing the balcony outside but i was nice enough to sit down since i'm pretty hungry at the time . As i sit down , the serve as me do i want some wine or beer to start and i said just water , then they bring me a water bottle that later charge me $8 freaking US dollar for it , the food was very expensive but it just terrible , i order the "signature dish" which is just a shrimp for $15 it was very average , the second dish was another shrimp dish which they put way over mayonnaise , the 3rd "rice soup lobster" is most disgusting dish i have ate in HK , the first taste i have remind me of those left over foods from normal household in Asia mix together and feed for the pig , i tried to not waste food since they bring out a bowl big enough to feed 4 person but i couldn't take it , this restaurant owner just need to hire some random old lady on the street to be their new chef . After that i paid the bill that included their $8 BS mineral water and get out of the place still hungry , as i walk down on the street to find some dessert try to forget the disgusting food that i just had i was thiking to myself : damn, that was the absolute worst $100 i have ever spend...
ย ย ย Read moreI had an absolutely terrible experience with the customer service at the bar. Never in my life have I encountered such poor treatment. When we arrived, one of our friends asked to see the dinner menu while the other two of us went out onto the balcony to enjoy the view. However, the male clerk at the front desk informed his assistants inside the bar that we were heading to the balcony. To our astonishment, the two assistants approached us in an extremely inappropriate and disrespectful manner, insisting that we order drinks before going out on the balcony. I couldn't believe the audacity. There were no signs indicating that we couldn't access the balcony, nor did the front desk mention any restrictions. I fail to comprehend how a business can operate with such abysmal customer service. Since when were customers forbidden from exploring the environment and reviewing the menu before making a decision? Instead of treating us like criminals and pressuring us to pay before accessing the balcony, they could have kindly requested that we order drinks. This was by far the worst bar experience I've ever had. Do better.
Here's a suggestion: train your employees to communicate with customers more effectively, showing compassion and respect, if you want your business to thrive and gain...
