Hotel AT THE PARK — Hotel in Cartagena

A hotel with a great location overseeing a popular park and central to great food and drinks. The staff is great, especially the breakfast crew. They’ll make you breakfast to order and it was included in my rate.

The only issues are the lack of love management gives to the facilities. Many things were falling apart. Cracked glass on the door, cracked and bubbling walls, missing door knobs on shower doors, broken tiles, crooked furniture. I would be fine with it if I was charged for a 2 star hotel, not a 4 star hotel. It’s simply overpriced and you can get better deals in the area. Although this location is great, the entire city is a short walk to cross. The Air Conditioner was the best part of the room. The pool is ok but there’s no natural light. It’s like a pool in a basement. The rooftop is nice if you want to entertain friends.

This charming hotel is in a perfect location, is great value for money and the staff could not be more helpful. ||We only stayed for one night after arriving a day earlier than planned to Cartagena. We had spent 14 hours travelling on boats and buses and were thrilled when we arrived. The host who welcomed us was so lovely and although we didn’t have a booking he got us into a room within 10 minutes. |In the morning we met Maria at the desk and she was so helpful and went above and beyond to help us in anyway she could. ||The rooms were very spacious with the bed situated upstairs, a small kitchenette and dining table & sofa downstairs. ||Overall we were very happy with the hotel and wished we had stayed here for the remainder of our stay...

First off, note that this hotel is now under the management of the owners so older negative reviews should be disregarded. ||||We loved this hotel and the owner is a fantastic hostess. It is in an excellent location in Cartagena. Within the walls of the city just outside the chaotic busier area. We absolutely love the city and all of its amazing choices of restaurants and bars.||||The room itself was very spacious and the bed super comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a number of choices on the menu. They have a lovely seating area on the second floor where you can visit with other guests and the staff.||||The staff are excellent at the hotel. Very welcoming and friendly!
