TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
As a travel blogger, I spend most of the year sleeping in hotels worldwide. While I've had worse experiences, this one is one of the tops.
Everything was great at first. The view, the cleanliness, and the staff were all great until the evening.
There are other reviews about an aggressive and rude staff member, and I know exactly who they are referring to.
I chose the location off the square because I had a lot of work to do and needed to wake up at 4 am. I thought it would be quiet, but it was the exact opposite.
At about 9 pm, the woman working the night shift began hosting a get-together of half a dozen townspeople in the lobby right down from my room. It sounded like I was sleeping in a party hostel.
I expressed my displeasure, but I was greeted with laughter, and they got louder.
Then the partygoers started playing music on their cellphones. It sounded like they were in my room. Finally, I couldn't take it and left the hotel after an hour and a half. I asked when I could return to sleep and was told one or two hours by the aggressive and intimidating crowd. I ended up getting about 3-hours of sleep.
Why would a hotel allow its staff to entertain locals on the property? It's a huge security risk to guests and their belongings.
There are mostly positive reviews here but avoid this hotel. The staff member may be new. Why take any chances? There are many...
Read moreThe Hotel has some positives—the rooms are clean, and the views are beautiful offering a lovely panorama of the surrounding landscape. However, my stay was overshadowed by the poor service at reception, which really affected the overall experience.
The biggest issue was the attitude of the receptionist ( the two women that probably one is the owner)Every time we asked for something—like fixing the warm water, which wasn’t working, we were met with dismissiveness and excuses instead of solutions. It felt like we were bothering her just for requesting basic comforts. From the first moment we felt uncomfortable always with an unfriendly attitude.Good service is essential for a pleasant stay, and unfortunately, that was missing here.
While the location and cleanliness are good, I won’t be returning because hospitality matters, and this hotel fell short. If management improves their guest attention and problem-solving attitude, it could be a much better place. For now, I’d recommend looking elsewhere if friendly, helpful service is important to you.
This isn't my first time in Salento, and there are other places with better service and the same or better amenities and views. Unfortunately, they were already booked, so we thought this hotel would be a good idea based on the photos, but I...
Read moreWe booked the family room for 5 people. Unfortunately the room was far too small, hardly any space to put things down. There is also no window, which meant that the room was very damp and all our things were permanently damp. In addition, it was impossible to ventilate and the room smelled unpleasant all the time. The smell was sometimes unbearable. On the last night it also dripped on us from the small ventilation shaft. So the room itself is completely unsuitable for 5 people.
There is a small bathroom. For 5 people this can be a bit cramped, especially in the morning. There was also a toilet in the corridor, but unfortunately we were not allowed to use it - we were also given an unfriendly warning. So there is no general guest toilet.
With a few exceptions, the staff were unfriendly. For example, we wanted to leave our room in the middle of the day. They were cleaning at that moment. The team approached us in an unfriendly manner.
The breakfast was not that good... But okay as it is included.
Positive: The location is perfect! You can be everywhere. The view is also wonderful. In addition it is very clean and they...
