The view is pretty average, nothing impressive. The best part is the walk and climbing the stairs, which is fine for exercise if you’ve eaten a lot or just want to stay active during the day. At the top, there’s not much to do—just look around and maybe get a nice photo if the weather is good. The biggest downside is that the place is completely neglected. Walking on the grass, you’ll find dog droppings everywhere, and along what once seemed to be a trail, we even came across...

For the low amount of effort it takes to get to the view point there's really no reason not to do it. Is it the most spectacular view? No.

You'll spend an enjoyable 20 minutes up there and move on. It also gives you a good image of how the town is laid out.

Instead of going down the stairs to get back go left down a little side trail. There are a few shops including an amazing ceramics shop that actually has high quality souvenirs made...

Great place to visit to get a glimpse of the valley. If you want a better view you will have to actually go to the Cocora Valley Trail. There are two ways up. You can go up through the Calle Real or through a path that connects the Mirador de Salento with Mirador...

📌Top 7 things to do in Salento, Colombia 🇨🇴 1. Hike in Valle de Cocora You will marvel at the tallest wax palm trees in the world 🌴 2. Try Jeep a local transportation. Here Jeep is called “Willys” When you go to coffee farm, Valle de Cocora and Filandia, you have to go by Willys ☺️ 3. Coffee farm tour There are lots of coffee farms, duration and tour courses are different. So make sure to check properly before booking. For me I booked through “Finca Buenos Aires Coffee Tour & Coffee Shop” 4. Plaza de Bolívar Many cafe, restaurant are around here and you can find Willys transport point to go to coffee farm and Valley de Cocora. 5. Mirador Alto de la Cruz If the weather is good, you can watch amazing sunsets point overlooking the Salento town. 6. Calle Real You will fell in love with these colourful colours of houses. 7. Play “Tejo” There are a few places where you can enjoy. But one of the famous ones is Cancha De Tejo Los Amigos. It’s fun game to play with a team 😉 ☑️Apart from the above lists, you can also visit “Filandia” if you have an extra day. It’s a small town 🥰 near Salento.
