I don’t understand the hype of this place. We ordered soup, a pitta and a Del día and we waited for an hour and 45 mins for it. That was with us leaving early as well. The Del día consisted of cold, pre-boiled spuds (not even reheated), small amount of rice, pre-prepped side salad, an average avacoda and flash fried beef which took ~5mins to cook. There were a total of about 10 people in the restaurant and most of them had already been served. I don’t know how they managed to take that long to cool that food. The pitta was extremely low par, stale, hard, dry, no sauce and fairly inedible. A spider climbed out of it at one stage, which we were actually happy about because we could then send it back. The place is also very expensive for the type of food being served, having doubled in price in the last couple of years. This was the most expensive Del día I have bought in Colombia and also the worst. Really disappointing as we were looking forward to a good Colombian meal to finish of our time in Salento and this place is rated...

Best food in Salento… some of the best in Colombia. We ate here 3 days in a row. After 3 weeks in Colombia and having mostly bad food, this place was incredible. You must get the menu of the day. The pumpkin crema is to die for. I recommend the chicken or trout as the entree. The chef (Alejandra) is an absolute star, she cooks everything, runs the restaurant, talks to customers, etc. and does it all perfectly and is super friendly. It has been a long time since I enjoyed a dining experience this much, and just last week we ate at Carmen in Medellin. Of course that was fancier, but this was more memorable and personal. Oh, also be careful of the hot sauce. It is...

Service is incredibly slow. It took them 45 minutes to put a bottle of water and a glass of lemonade on our tables. Food (a pita bread) arrived after more than an hour. We, a couple with a child, ordered two portions of pita. The waiter apparently only wrote down one pita. Nowhere in the process did he ask us if this is actually how little food we want to consume. Needless to say that when we received our food it was to late to order another pita. Our 2 year old could not wait another 70 minutes. The hygienic conditions might raise an eyebrow: the toilet is basically in the back half of the kitchen. That being said, the food was good, better than in many Colombian...

If you are in Salento and don’t stop here you are truly missing out. I ordered fish that was cooked perfectly there were a few bones I had to pick out but what better reassurance of the freshness of it. The carrot soup is an inspiration to your tastebuds. It’s the perfect amount to share or filling enough to have as a meal, either way you must order it. The chef brought out some kind of heavenly eggplant garlic dip. I wish with every ounce I could have figured out how to bring it back to the states. I ate it with every bite. I tried it with everything on the table. The chef was so kind and polite. The prices are reasonable. I’d come here again.

Tastiest and healthiest food we had in Colombia so far. We took the menu del día which includes a delicious pumpkin soup, a big main course with a veggie patty, a fresh juice, and some cookies for dessert. Altogether for the unbeatable price of COP18k! The owner, Aleja, obviously loves her job and enjoys chatting with her guests, among the many locals. She is a friendly whirlwind in the open restaurant kitchen. Just a beautiful experience, much recommended!

Really nice little restaurant, it gets busy and when we arrived there was a queue outside! Definitely get there early. Cream of spinach soup was really tasty (pictured) and was presented nicely. The menu del dia included a soup, a main of meat (a choice) with rice, salads and a nice dauphinoise potato, as well as a fresh pineapple juice - plus a little biscuit to finish the meal. Total was about 25k pesos. Would recommend for a tasty meal on a budget.
