Evita este lugar a todo costo! Avoid this place at all cost!
First of all: The food was very expensive and overpriced. Caldo de costilla barely doesn't cost 14k pesos nor does a cappuccino cost 8k in Colombia. You can get it for way less right outside. However we stayed because of the view. I was with my girlfriend and we ordered a soup and eggs with coffee. Something simple. I got my soup and coffee right away but I waited to eat while my girlfriend hadn't received her food nor her coffee. She didn't get any of her food at all so we canceled her order, meaning they probably weren't even making it. We decided not to tip them because of this error and when we got the bill, they had included tips even though we made it very clear we wouldn't tip them. Once having paid, they didn't give me the right amount of money back, which already was overpriced. We demanded the right amount of money back at the cashier and they didn't even apologize to us, trying to justify their mistakes. We spent 30 minutes in the restaurant waiting...
Read moreWe arrived in Solento from a very long travel day from Bogota. Willy's was recommended by two National police officers, as one of the better places to eat along the central square. We entered the restaurant and enjoyed a great panoramic view from the back of the restaurant. A very large restaurant but at the time only 3 or 4 tables were occupied. The menu selection was very limited at lunch time. Many of the items were not available until the evening. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers: French fries, arepas with cheese, and empanadas. The arepas were very disappointing because the cheese was on the side and not inserted and melted like everywhere else we have been in Columbia. The empanadas were small and contained little meat. Thank goodness they didn't mess up the fries. The waiter was friendly and the service was good. For the price 3 appetizers, one beer and a soda, was over COP 75,000. Not worth it! They only accepted cash so be prepared if you go. My advice, do...
Read moreAlthough this restaurant might have a nice view, we should have known by how empty the restaurant was that there was something off.
We were attracted to this bar by the white wine. We were shown 3 wines, told the first was 73,000 on arrival, to be absolutely shocked when the bill arrived to realised we were charged 130,000. Cristian, the server, had since left the restaurant, and on being telephoned by colleagues he stated we requested the expensive bottle.
We are not dumb and we remember what the original bottle looked like.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs, their foul ways of business are...
