Hotel Medellín Santa Marta — Hotel in Santa Marta

I stayed for 1 night, and I've got an average small budget room with aa, small flat tv (weak signal) and a small refrigerator with some items for sale. No meals available, but at a restaurant next to the hotel (extra charge).||I liked: Hotel near historic downtown, a couple of blocks away of main plazas and important buildings. Close to the Marina and surrounding downtown beaches. Easy to get public transportation to touristic places and other areas of the city. As per the room, it was comfortable and the aa worked well; there was a refrigerator with beverages and snacks available (according to price list). I got an interior room, and it was good to avoid street noise. The allowed to pay at check in.||I did not like: Tiny bathroom, and the aa did not get it; mosquitos inside. On another hand, at check-out, I was asked whether I have taken something out of the refrigerator to be charged for; since I did not take anything, I said ¨no¨, but the woman at front desk did not believe and ordered someone to confirm it directly in the room (vulgar burglar...

Located near the beach and boardwalk, this hotel made it really easy to enjoy the festival honoring the Goddess/Queen of the Sea as it is right on the parade route. I was traveling with a female friend and we felt super safe and comfortable here, which is very important for 2 American women traveling without male companions in Colombia. ;) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excelente opcion para viajeros con bajo presupuesto que les gusta la privacidad y no quieren un hostal. Excelente relacion Costo-Beneficio,yo escogi con ventilador en vez de aire la habitacion y esta muy bien, buen sistema de TV Cable, habitaciones sumamente limpio, personal muy amable y honrado. ||UBICACION: Si te vas a quedar en el Centro (En Santa Marta hay tres opciones para turistas, Rodadero que es como un barrio con edificios modernos pero lo recomiendo solamente en viaje puramente familiar, Taganga que es una playa y es la zona de backpackers y es una excelente opcion si eres viajero, grupo o pareja joven aventurera (tipo Kao shan road en Tailandia) y el Centro que es donde esta ubicado este hotel y donde hay mucha actividad de dia y opciones nocturnas como el parque de los novios a una o dos cuadras||SEGURIDAD: Es seguro||DETALLE: Si quieres privacidad de tu cuarto y baño privado limpio a un precio un poco mas alto pero similar al de un hostal, esta es una excelente opcion. El agua de la ducha al igual que toda esa zona es helada (lo que no es problema ni incomodidad si no eres muy caprichosa, pues se siente tibia ).
