I was supposed to stay at this place for 2 nights. The weather in Croatia on sep 23 was really bad, there was heavy rain, thunder and even earthquakes. I arrived in Split at noon in the rain at the ferry station and the lady from the ticket office told me the ferries are not going because of the weather. I called the hostel twice, sent them a message on FB messenger and an email, the calls were not answered, they never bothered to call back and I didn't receive a reply until almost 2 hours later on FB messenger, by that time I had left because at this point I was very stressed and had no place to stay otherwise. The reply I got was just rude, no understanding at all, they told me I didn't call (I did twice and have proof). They told me I should have taken an early ferry or a ferry that goes to some other place on the Island that is far from where I was staying.
I absolutely understand that last minute cancellations are not nice and I even apologized for that, when none of this was my fault and it ruined my own travel plans. I had even sent another email explaining the situation in depth, this shouldn't even be necessary since everyone could see what was going on outside but ok, they never replied back or even showed any kind of empathy or asked how I was doing and found a safe place to stay. Instead they acted like it was my fault and my problem and only cared about charging me for a no show so they would get the money. I am still shocked about the whole situation, especially since I booked it because the reviews were so good. They should be ashamed...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible hostel. All the staff were amazing and so friendly but special mention to louie who organised all the social activities from sunset hikes to boat tours to pub crawls. Also katarina who gave us a full run down of the town and check in and gave us loads of ideas of what do while in town. We had a private dorm and the rooms was great plenty of space and perfectly clean. Aircon worked great throughout whole stay. The kitchen and common areas were so well maintained and it really all just had such a welcoming social vibe. They allowed us to store our luggage in their staff area on checkout day which we felt was secure as someone is always around and no guest allowed. The walk up the hill is hard on the first day with luggage but easy after that and it makes the check day very easy as is all downhill...
Read moreThe best hostel in Hvar without any doubt! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. When I arrived one member of the reception came to me with a map of the city and explained me everything I needed to know and even offered me a glass of cold water. How amazing is that? The environment there is really friendly, they even take everyone out after 22h30 to go to the bars and discos in Hvar. The bedrooms are pretty good. Mine had 2 bathrooms for 8 people. Super comfortable. I couldn't find a better one. It has an excellent community kitchen with pretty much everything you need. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he is really a very cool a funny guy, Dinko. Really advise anyone who likes to party and to meet new people to come here at least for a...
