LOLA Bar & Street food — Restaurant in Grad Hvar

Decided to come here for our last dinner in Hvar, but we were very badly let down. At first when we approached the restaurant we were looked up and down by numerous members of staff which felt very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Once we were sat, we thought the food sounded nice from the look of the menu so we were optimistic. As we were placing our order, I (very fussy eater due to a dairy intolerance) tend to order food plain and have had no issue with this anywhere else around the world and so far on our trip in croatia at numerous restaurants. I requested the chicken burger to be plain, to then be told in a smug attitude “this is not fast food, this is street food”. At first we thought he was joking, but soon realised by his harsh tone and blank expression he was not. We were then told “we only remove bacon for religious reasons you should just have it with everything on it and eat it the way it comes as it would be dry and its €18”… (price was never an issue and would of happily paid the full price) We were left shocked and have never experienced customer service to this level. We promptly paid for our overpriced drinks and left. It is 2025, and I am extremely disappointed that this level of service exists, people should not be made to feel different and embarrassed for such a simple request. I had a fantastic dining experience at LOLA Bar & Street Food—everything from the food to the atmosphere was spot on. The menu offers a great variety, and every dish we tried was well-prepared and flavorful. The burgers were especially impressive: juicy, perfectly cooked, and served with thoughtful sides that elevated the whole plate. The cocktails were another highlight—creative, balanced, and beautifully presented, making them a must-try whether you're there for dinner or just drinks. The bartenders were professional and great.

I’ll definitely be coming back—and recommending it to friends who appreciate good food and good vibes. A true gem worth...

We came here late night for drinks and had a wonderful time!

First we walked past Teo’s, as Hula Hula was slammed and definitely not our style place. It was closing at 11pm, and we were at Teo’s at 10:40pm on a Monday night. We ordered an espresso martini and asked the servers where all the locals go to party, and they suggested Lola Bar. They were right!

Soon everyone flooded out of Hula and headed back into the port town. We made it to Lola and spoke with Daniela (or Michaela? We met so many ppl!) who gave us a great table outside in front of the DJ playing from a window. Then she brought us shots to celebrate our honeymoon. Seriously, everyone on this island is so kind and generous.

We made some friends sitting outside and the vibe was amazing all night long. DJ played great music, drinks were fast and cold. I ordered some type of pink tequila drink and it was great!
