Listen to this story about my Hvar trip Until you get a really good grip
I was wondering the streets Looking for a place to drink Aperol Spritz
I saw a lovely place It leaves a music trace Located at the center My wife saw a handsome bartender
Its called Central Park Club Not some lousy pub We came inside With hope we will be satisfied
The place looked beautifull I felt so blissfull So we sat down and read the menu Waited for a waiter interview
Be sure to order Rosemary Cooler It's a complete coctail ruler Dont miss Parky Jazzy Apple With some eatable flower petal
If you're in the mood You can grab some finger food Or even a delicious salmon filet Their kitchen wont betray
If you wont dine Grab some local wine I liked their Pošip It gets better by the sip
If you did no wrongs They can sing some songs Enjoy some evening blues While waiters come with no long ques
I also came another day To bad I could no longer stay Orderes some tonic and a Bombay My wife had Bramble It was an easy gamble
Tommorow I had to part From the Central Club Park I will come next year I hope I will endure
It was raining like hell In 45 minutes to twelve I drink some coffe Just to stay frosty
Said goodbye to my waiter There is no staff greater They even gave me an umbrella And a croissant with nutella.
I said goodbye to Hvar I will miss you from afar Had the time of my life Even with my grumpy wife!
Central Park Club is awesome That makes your whole...
Read moreWe picked this place for lunch on our first day in Hvar and after having such great experiences with food so far in Croatia we didn't think we could go very wrong... We were wrong! We ordered two salads (squid and shrimp), both we couldn't eat, our waiter took them away when we put them aside and didn't ask why they were barely touched.
In the time we were deciding we didn't like the salads we had ordered a chicken wrap as we thought maybe salads just weren't our thing and we should try something else on the menu, the wrap was decent apart from the 'side salad' which was just a piece of dry cucumber and a cherry tomato.
After this I tried to order dessert off the menu from a waitress, she told me 'no, we only serve that at breakfast time' When I pointed out that there were four other people in the restaurant eating the same muffin that I wanted to order she told me 'they must have ordered those at breakfast time'. It was 3pm?!
I re ordered the muffin off another staff member and he brought it over promptly. We told this member of staff that our salads weren't edible and he told us there was nothing he could do as his boss wouldn't believe him if he told him this news.
Wasted our money and killed our...
Read moreCareful cause tourists rate it!
A beautiful setting, but the food is mediocre to bad. We came here for dinner in the restaurant upstairs, tasteless and super expensive for Croatia, classic tourist trap. Staff super slow, but kind. We payed by CARD. 1 grilled tuna steak, 1 grilled chicken, 1 prawn appetizer, 1 glass of wine, 1 gin tonik - 100e, way overrated.
We came back for breakfast (cause how wrong can you really go with like eggs, right? Wrong!) , we had it downstairs in the club area, staff again kind but slow, setting beautiful. They told me eggs Benedict would be with pancetta, but they were with some tasteless ham, waffles were undercooked, porridge was ok, but not great. That + eggs and bacon (good), two fresh juices watered down with a bunch of ice and an espresso = 60e, not bad, not great price wise in general, however the taste definitely not worth the money. Attention: in the club area they accept only payments in CASH and local currency (kuna). It's noted on the first page of the menu, but we didn't see it so we had to get cash from the ATM. Weird, considering the restaurant takes cards and they are the...
