Luxury Accommodation Marino — Hotel in Grad Split

We booked this through bookings.com under the impression we were an apartment as the photos clearly show an apartment. It’s a room! It’s a clean room but it’s a room in a hostel block so we just stayed the 1 night we booked of the 2 as we felt our few days in Croatia were too precious to spend 2 nights in Split when there was a lot more beauty to see. Split is nice at night once you find the lanes in the cathedral as this is the main area. The outskirts are dark and residential. Lots of bins especially in the are we stayed, very very tight parking, lots of graffiti. The owner is lovely though and couldn’t do enough for us which was why we were quite surprised at where the owner chose to buy an apartment. We booked the double luxury rooms, based on the photos. We were two couples travelling together and usually like somewhere with a balcony or at least a little sitting area. All the photos show just that. The rooms we booked were just hotel rooms. We did go down to the courtyard for pre dinner drinks, but got kicked out by another landlord. We did not see anyone else use this area and we were not causing any harm. The hosts are very accommodating however and the accommodation is comfortable....

These rooms are modern, very clean and perfectly placed on the edge of the old town, felt perfectly safe walking back at night. We stayed here prior to a 7 night cruise, the rooms are within walking distance to the cruise/ferry port. Zlatko was also the perfect host, he met us at the airport, gave us lots of information about Split. Would definetly recommend staying here when...
