A very comfy place, with great food and not a lot of tourists! Its a little farther, than most of the typical restaurants in the center of the city, so less people come by. We had the pleasure to enjoy our meal on one of the two terraces, accompanied by soft music chosen by the staff. The food was delicious and the portions were also great - and the price was great for the amount of food we got. We ordered grilled squid stuffed with prawns and grilled vegetables and John Dory fish with black truffle gnocchi, as well as cheesecake with some type of berry sauce. Everything tasted really good, and we were surprised there were not that many people ( we visited restaurant at 9:15 PM, and they close at 11 PM) Our waiter was really nice and helpful, the water and wine that we ordered came really cold as to our liking and we got additional bread (even though we didn’t order it) Overall, it was a great experience and we thought that it was a pity we haven’t discovered this place earlier, otherwise we would have gone the second (and maybe third) time! 5/5 would...

Unbelievable local restaurant tucked away from the rest of busy Zadar. We had a friendly server who took excellent care of us. Two outdoor gardens for seating, separated by a stone wall along with roomy indoor seating. A well executed menu with the stuffed squid being the most popular choice for very good reason. Perfectly seasoned, not overly salted served over a bed of grilled zucchini & polenta. Absolutely delicious! A small carafe of the special in-house olive oil was brought over while I mopped up every spec of leftover sauce with bread! The octopus salad, served cool, as starter was superb with tender octopus. We shared an Incredible bottle of Plavac Mali red wine at a very reasonable price compared to other restaurants. Finished with a shared slice of the chocolate cake. Consistency of a dense chocolate mousse but not thick like a cake or brownie with a crisp crunch crust. No words besides mmmm. Finished with a cherry liqueur to digest. Absolutely the most memorable meal during our time in Zadar! Reservation recommended in...

Food Quality: The food was average at best. Staff Attitude: The staff's attitude was disappointing; they didn't smile or use friendly words, making us feel unwelcome. Service Experience: The service felt impersonal, with the food being given to us instead of being served. Unequal Treatment: We noticed the staff being nicer to other white guests, which left us wondering if our color was the problem. Broken Glass and Plate: My drink was served in a broken glass, and one of the plates was also broken. Lack of Greetings: After settling the bill, there were no greetings in return from the staff even after we wished them good night. Stomach Issues: Unfortunately, we experienced stomach issues later that night, possibly related to the food.

Overall Recommendation: Considering these issues, we cannot recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere and...

When we first arrived at 8pm last Tuesday, we were the only people there- a concerning sign. However, we decided to stick it out- and were so glad we did. The white table wine was delicious, and an amazing bargain at 2€ per glass. My husband’s stuffed squid was slightly overcooked at the ends, but my sea bass and prawn was so amazing that we couldn’t possibly take away a star- I didn’t know that prawns could be that tender and flavorful. The service was wonderful, and our server was very kind and attentive. She even brought out a little jar of homemade olive oil to dip our bread in, which was buttery, slightly sweet, and an incredible compliment to the wonderful bread. Overall, I completely agree with the other reviews that this place is a hidden gem. We were glad to see that by 9pm it was starting to fill up a bit more- this place deserves to be bustling every night!
