We visited for our anniversary, trying out the degustation "chef's choice" 5-course meal [~765kn and 1.001kn w/ wine pairing]

I cannot recommend this restaurant and this meal enough! Our server was attentive, professional, and nice, showing a mastery of the menu and wines throughout the courses. We were excited to let the chef's discretion guide the meal, and all of the food was delicious and struck of a middle-of-the-road adventurousness; nothing spicy or intense, but rather capturing some of the best of Fall in Dalmatia with its usual great taste.

For October 2nd, our Fall-themed courses were (as seen in photos)

Pre-course dish of homemade bread, lovely olive oil, and shrimp paté

First course of tuna tartare, buratta mozzarella, toast, and some light greens and sauces

Second course of a giant ravioli, along with shrimp and scallops in a red sauce

The first main course was sea bass with corn pudding, orange reduction, and spinach (our favorite dish!)

The second main course was veal with plum(?) sauce and pumpkin puree with mushrooms and chestnuts, with a lump of coleslaw equivalent. This was the most Fall-y of the dishes

And for dessert, a brownie with poached pears and vanilla ice cream Everything was cooked to perfection with a clear vision of taste and plating. It was just enough food to eat without exploding, and we walked away with the wholesome, pleasant feeling of fullness instead of a single regret in the world

This is a must-go spot in Zadar, but I would recommend you call ahead for reservations given...

A Hidden Gem in Zadar – A Memorable Culinary Experience at The Corte

Tucked away in the heart of Zadar, The Corte Restaurant is a true hidden gem that effortlessly blends charm, sophistication, and exceptional cuisine. From the moment you step into their beautiful secret garden, you’re transported to a tranquil oasis — a perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a peaceful evening with friends.

The service is nothing short of professional. The staff is warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, making you feel welcomed and well cared for throughout your visit. It's clear that every detail, from the ambiance to the presentation, is handled with care.

The highlight, of course, is the food. The Corte continues to impress with high-quality, thoughtfully crafted dishes that celebrate both local flavors and creative international touches. With the recent addition of Chef Serhii to the team, the menu has reached exciting new heights. His innovative approach and refined techniques bring a fresh energy to the kitchen — every dish is a masterpiece, both visually and in taste.

Whether you're a local or just passing through Zadar, The Corte is a must-visit. Exceptional dining in a stunning setting — a true...

We ordered the French toast, which turned out to be two slices of bread stuck together with Nutella in the middle and topped with a lot of sugar. The only thing you could taste was the sugar and the crunch—it was overwhelming. The Eggs Royale was just as disappointing, with an avocado paste that didn’t even taste remotely like avocado. The coffee came out cold. The only decent part of the meal was the orange juice.

This place might look nice, but that’s about the only good thing it has going for it. We waited 45 minutes for a simple breakfast, and when it finally arrived, there was a hair in the food.

From the start, the staff was rude. When we asked a question, the waiter just waved us off. When we inquired about the rest of our food, the response was, “I only have two hands,” as if it was our fault. We asked to sit outside, and they told us the table was too small for three people—then shortly after, a family of four was seated there with no issue. It really felt like they treated people differently based on how they looked.

We barely touched the food, and no one even bothered to ask why. It was clear they didn’t care. This place is not worth a...

Came here last night for dinner and we absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful setting, we sat down on the courtyard which was comfortable and felt like a little urban forest with all the trees, plants, and nice mood lighting. Our waiter was really friendly too cracking jokes with us all night and making us smile. We had the beef carpaccio and ravioli with goats cheese to start with some bread, both delicious, the lobster foam sauce that the ravioli came in was sensational! For main we had the fish of the day which was a big fillet of sea bass and the French rack of lamb. Both absolutely delicious and the right size portion for us. To drink we just had a gin and tonic, and a few glasses of the local rose and red wines, all very tasty and went well with our meal. The bill came to €151 so a bit more than some places here but it was a nice treat, we would definitely return and try more from the menu (although I could do with just a bowl of that lobster foam sauce from the ravioli to mop up with their bread!) If you have a few days in Zadar and want a nice dinner this is the place!!
