Luxury Rooms Contessa Vitali, Zadar — Hotel in Grad Zadar

Stayed here six nights just before the start of the tourist season, and it is honestly the most comfortable hotel or air BNB accommodations I've ever stayed in.||Firstly, this isn't a traditional hotel with a front desk or turndown service or anything, so don't go in expecting it. It's a room in a historic building with a very comfortable bed, an incredible view out the window, a mini fridge, and easy walking access to Old Town Zadar.||I had no issues with any smell in the bathroom, nor any problems with the shower-- in fact I adored that shower. Always had hot water, plenty of space, very comfy.||The window was marvellous. You could open the top for some air or the side to look out on the courtyard. When closed and locked, the sound outside, including the church bell, was much quieter and never bothered me.||Never used the tv, but the AC has a remote and a setting with white noise that sounds like the ocean.||If you need towels, sheets, directions, or help booking day trips or airport shuttles, Tereza was always very helpful and friendly. I always emailed her if I needed anything.||Personally, I couldn't have asked for a better room. It was so convenient to Old Town, very close to the airport bus stop, parking, and the cruise line. It's located above a great gelato place, and easy to find as it's close to the tallest bell tower in Old Town.||Next time I stay in Zadar, this place is at the top of my list...

The location is perfect - situated directly across from the stunning Cathedral of St. Anastasia and within walking distance of Zadar's most important landmarks, including the Church of Saint Donato and Church of St. John the Baptist. Having dm-drogerie markt and other essential amenities right at our doorstep, plus numerous restaurants serving excellent cuisine and gelato, made exploring the historic city incredibly convenient. This is undoubtedly the ideal base for discovering Zadar's rich cultural heritage while enjoying luxurious comfort and outstanding...

We booked this room through Trip Masters. |When we arrived, we got to the address and they didn’t have a sign so we walked around forever until a we found it. We called to get the key and the number was disconnected. We had to call Trip Masters who was able to contact the owner. We finally got the code to get in and wish we hadn’t because we were disappointed with the room.||The bathroom is remodeled but there’s an old picture hanging and behind it was a hole in the wall. The bed was stiff and the carpet was very worn. The entrance to the property was dirty along with the side entrance. We didn’t feel safe there. We tried to cancel but Trip Masters who booked it through Expedia was of no help. It was non- refundable even though it didn’t look like the pictures. We would...
