We really enjoyed our time in Old Town Zadar. It’s a beautiful mix of history, seaside atmosphere, and relaxed Mediterranean life. The narrow stone streets, old buildings, and small squares give the place a lot of charm without feeling too crowded or touristy.

Read moreOld Town Zadar is fantastic. It's a unique blend of old and new. While it's man-made, the Sea Organ moved me to tears. In town you can walk among the archeological sites, shop for souvenirs from street vendors, and wander the endless alleys of unique little shops and cafes. Old Town is clean and the people are friendly if you strike up a conversation. I was able to try pasticada (that I wasn't able to find in my day in Dubrovnik) at a lovely quiet, peaceful little restaurant. There are also plenty of shops where you can get modern clothes and whatever other supplies/sundries you may need. If you get a chance, go see Arsen, a wonderful man who makes custom name jewelry on the street - a wonderful guy (who recommended the...

The narrow streets are lined with historic buildings, charming churches, and beautiful squares shaded by trees — perfect for a mid-day break. There’s no shortage of places to eat or drink, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, gelato spots, and bars scattered throughout. The area is full of life, with tourists, young people, and street performers adding to the energy. While it can feel a bit crowded at times, especially in peak season, the mix of sea views, historic charm, and buzzing atmosphere makes it a place you’ll want to return to...
