Hotel v Centru — Hotel in okres České Budějovice

Stayed here for one night and the location was very convenient, just off the old town square. However, the accommodation was very basic. |The reception was only open until 9pm but the receptionist actually left at 8:30pm.||The rooms were very tired with cheap looking furniture, the carpets looked dirty with stains on them. The curtains were so short that they didn't even cover the full window so in the morning when the light came in, the sun was shining in your eyes. |No coffee or tea making facilities.|The headboard was attached to the wall and covered over the plug sockets. |The shower had mould around the grouting and rust on the shower head.|The upside was that the bed was relatively comfortable.||The room we stayed in was close to the stairwell and the lights in the hall were on a timer and needed to be switched on. When you came out of the room, there was no light switch close to the door and you had to guide yourself in darkness to find the light switch. I think this is actually dangerous considering there is a stairwell right next to the door, with tiled stairs. If someone was to lose their footing in the dark then they could seriously injure themselves. ||The breakfast was again very basic.|Nothing cooked. Just some bread rolls, ham, cheese, a few cereals and cakes in a wrapper.||I think some room renovations are in order and they should but a door over the stairwell to prevent accidents.|It was bearable to stay just one night but couldn't have stayed here...

Booked the hotel and arrived later than expected…about 7:15 pm. This is a one person “3” star hotel and this person leaves between 8:30 and 9 pm. You have to pull onto curb to unload luggage and parking is several blocks away.|| The hotel person made a pont of saying 3-star hotels don’t have to have someone there during the night, but when pressed said the owner lived there and could be reached for an emergency. After settling in and finding my nightstand light did not work, we stopped at desk before going out to eat just before 8 pm. When we asked to have lightbulb changed, she rambled on about how late we checked in and that there was no one to fix it. Ok….this is not the hotel service we expected no matter if we checked in…at 7:15 pm!!! The light was fixed when we returned.|| Ar breakfast next day there were three tables of customers…..the coffee grounds needed replacing in coffee maker. No one in the restaurant part would help. We finally went to receptionist who fixed the problem.|| Would not recommend...

I have to say that I cannot agree with many other reviews. ||First of all, the staff was always friendly with us and helped us with every question.||The place is just fantastic, right at the side of the main market place but not in the middle of chaos. Parking is possible at the outside of the center, a normal thing that you can't enter with your car in a city center.||The room wasn't the greatest beauty of them all but it was a huge room for little money and everything's clean and tidy. ||I'd say a perfect place if you want to see the city and the region and you do not want to pay to much for your room but want to have a clean...
