Club Hotel Praha — Hotel in Prague

You get what you pay for.....maybe. We stayed for four nights. The first night we asked to change rooms because we could hear a disco thumping away until 5am in the morning - this room was extremely basic and relatively uncomfortable with very very poor pillows which gave no support. when we asked for more that night they stated they didn't have any...|Breakfast - again basic , always the same , no fruit, poor cereals, bread OK and honey and jam alright, lots of sausages if you like that sort of thing but how long had they been there?? Only one cup of coffee per guest in the morning else £2 / cup extra.|The hotel manager and assistant were always watching you at breakfast - make sure you didn't take extras...|Extra pillow charged , extra bed linen charged. No room cleaning at all.|The room we were moved to was less noisy and a bit more comfortable but we had paid for a ensuite toilet but this one was shared. Avoid this at all costs. There is a central 'lounge' area and if any other guests choose to use this , drinking , smoking (what I am not sure but it sure smelt bad) that is awful and noisy too.|Paid a 'key deposit' that the hotel have not refunded to us.|The staff were at best miserable and very hard to understand.|We have never felt we were in such a oppressive situation (even the door keys were an issue but that would take too long to explain - as would the strange character we found in the lift one morning - drunk as a skunk) and a...

Booked hotel online at site of hotel: option c (double room, bath/jacuzzi, large kitchenette, wifi) at different address (owner has 2 things for rent) and we ended up in this place. It's a former pension but not really hotel.||||Reception: they seem nice at first but very into the money. You pay upfront without seeing room/bar etc so if it goes wrong there is no refund. Parking is 450 czk/night. Entrance extremely small, they rent the space at nextdoor pension. You have to ring at neighbourhotel. Interesting if you never plan to use the car for sightseeing.||||Room was big, bathtub in room. It gets very hot (no airco) but when you use tub it is not healthy. Matras is good, when moving at night wood frame surely wakes you up. Room is moist, furniture very dated. All carpet, cleaning is incomplete. They only clean when asked and then you need to ask towels at reception (you need patience).||||Breakfast is average. Check the dates, some were overdue.||||Outside view of the room was court with lots if junk.||||Very noisy at night, there is a disco downstairs, open till 4 am ...||||Overall not horrible, but it's not what we booked. Apparently the man in charge receiving the bookings doesn't know what site/app is used, so it's possible you book one thing and end up in another.||||Good thing the reception boy is very nice and helpfull, he made our holiday nicer. Too bad he speaks no English. Owner has poor English...

Основной плюс отеля - удобное месторасположение, рядом с метро I.P.Pavlova и Карлова площадь. Отель располагается на 2-х этажах: на 1-ом - столовая + администрация, а на 2-ом - комнаты-номера. Вход в отель очень не удобный: входная дверь всегда закрыта и что бы войти надо позвонить в звонок на двери и ждать пока тебе придут откроют. Проблема была в том, что на двери два звонка - в отель и в студенческий клуб, который расположен в этом же подъезде. После того, как мы несколько раз нажали на звонок отеля и пару минут прождали на улице, т.к. нам не открывали, мы позвонили во второй звонок, как раз этого клуба, оттуда выскочила очень недовольная девушка и судя по интонации голоса очень ругалась на нас. Когда мы все таки вошли в отель, поняли что молодой администратор просто уснул и не слышал нашего звонка. Второй не приятный момент, это лифт. Что бы он приехал на нужный этаж, нужно все время держать кнопку вызова, отпускаешь - лифт останавливается и при повторном нажатии срабатывает не сразу. Лифт едет очень медленно, таких я еще не видел, в общем пока спускаешься со второго на первый этаж - палец, которым нажимаешь, устает. Лестницы со второго этажа на первый нет, поэтому выбора не остается. В-третьих, это сам номер. Нас заселили в номер 1. Обстановка в номере самая дешевая - журнальный столик и 2 стула, диван, тут же к нему примыкает ИКЕЕвская кровать, к ней в плотную - душевая кабина, а к ней - щит управления лифтом. Кто не знает, это такой металлический полуметровый ящик, в котором находится мотор лифта и ужасно шумит и гудит при КАЖДОЙ поездке на нем кого-нибудь из постояльцев или персонала. То есть ночью в этом номере уснуть очень тяжело, даже если это получалось, за ночь по несколько раз просыпались от звуков. И по утрам приходилось просыпаться с первыми звуками, часов в 6-7 утра. Из других неудобств номера-дырявые шторы, которые даже не смыкаются, старые деревянные окна, через которые слышны все звуки проходящей под окнами дороги и трамвайные пути, нет смены полотенец, хотя мы находились там 3 ночи, и старые деревянные двери между номерами и тонкие стены, в общем слышно все чем занимаются соседи. Туалет в коридоре. Завтраки скромные, яичницу с сосиской нужно просить у администратора, не попросишь - ешь хлопья с молоком, которые на "шведском" столе. ||Еще один плюс, управляющий этим отелем, немного понимает и говорит по-русски.
