Beer & Burger U Čížků — Restaurant in Prague

First of all, the entrance reeked a bit of feaces, so their hygiene-concept is not any good. But that did not stop us from entering.

As we sat down, we were almost forced to order the barman’s specialty drink. It cost about 12€ and was nothing more than a regular “cuba libre”.

As we ordered water (which was listed on the menu under 0.5l for 1€) we were asked if we wanted the carafe. As we agreed, we were given about one liter which was schockingly more expensive (at about 6€). The menu was not available in English btw.

The burger tasted mediocre at best but definitely not worth the price.

The toilet was the only thing which was not unpleasant, but that was necessary as a friend of mine had diarrhoea afterwards.

Finally, our dinner was up-priced about 25% when we bothered to pay in Euros (from 90 to 119€)

Overall, I cannot discourage anyone from eating here more full heartedly. If I could, I would have surely...

Burgers very mediocre , the flavours are not balanced and the ingredients missing. Onion rings felt just like unflavoured dough, I had to ask for replacing of the dip because it wasn’t the garlic one I ordered. The dip I got after had powdered garlic in and I really don’t think that this should be offered in a restaurant. The coleslaw had 0 flavour, pepper or salt not in the picture.

We were a large group, my friend had a birthday, the waiter was “tsk”-Ing all the time like we fail to make him happy. They wanted us to pay extra 600 czk to have our cake here which is fair enough but sad.

Allegedly they are open till 23 but at 21 they “kindly” asked us to leave and turned off the heating, which was never on in the female toilets at all times, so not a nice experience for the ladies.

The food is perfectly fine, but the service is a complete failure. We arrived at 12:45 a.m. When the waiter gave us menus he neglected to tell us that half the menu wasn't available for lunch. After we ordered we waited another hour before the food arrived. During which time we watched both waiters for our section ignore a customer that was standing next to them wanting to tell them they had delivered the wrong order. While they ignored her they watched sports on TV and actively commented on it. Such an unfortunate thing to have poor service when the cooking was decent. I...
