A good hotel. Nice rooms. Although you get to take part in the constant exclamations of the 112 vehicles, which strangely calmed down during the evening and night.
The hotel is further away from the center core than I thought and understood when booking (booked the visit from the VING.se), but in my opinion, Prague is a city you should discover on foot. So nothing against me and my father with litle longer distances.
About 15 minutes walk to the National Museum and about 30 minutes walk to Charles Bridge and along the way you have so much more to discover.
The staff is fantastic, good service. We landed early, at 9.30am and had a transfer drive us to the hotel. Since I booked via VING, I didn't think about it anymore. But when we arrived at the hotel around 11:00, the woman at the reception was a little surprised that we arrived ”already”, because our room was not ready (normal check-in at 15:00 I would guess) but she arranged for our room to be cleaned at once so after 30 minutes we got the room. A mistake on my part as I assumed they would know we were arriving at lunchtime as the whole trip, flight, hotel and transfer were booked in a package from the swedish travel company VING.
Actually, maybe I should have emailed the hotel so they were prepared, but I didn't think of anything. so absolutely amazing that the woman in the reception, without blinking solved a problem that I should have thought of myself!
I heartily recommend this hotel! If you can stand a little city noise, and that it is a little responsive from the corridor. But the service, the price/night and the standard men that these two "minuses" cannot be counted.
Note: we traveled from Sweden and did not need an adapter to a wall outlet to be able to charge our phones.
Make sure you have some cash with you on the trip.Paying by card in Prague is not as obvious...
Read moreJust completed a 3 day stay at the Green Garden Hotel in Prague. Arrived early in the morning .The hotel allows for a one hour early check in . But that was still several hours from arrival to the hotel. The staff helpful y arranged for us to keep our baggage in a security room till check in. The hotel is located in an excellent location, 30 min walk from old town,15 min from the national museum, and 5 min from a transportation hub| Along the way to the hub, right next to the hotel - you can find stores for your covenience, cell phone shop, supermarket .|and resteraunt /bar.Of course the down side of staying in a busy location is the noise did drift to our room-cant have it all. The room and bath were spacious- we got a triple. Showering though a bit awkward as you have to step over the big sides of the tub. The mattress is firm and comfortable. We got one pillow for each of us which were kind of flat- should have asked for .another one .The food was adequate. We had the half board and found some choices truly delicious, others just ok. Menu a bit limited especially for me as a vegtarian but even for . . my meat eating son. What really stuck out was how clean the hotel is kept up and how proffesional the staff is. Not everyone speaks English but they will immediatly direct you to someone who can The staff had no problem answering our many questions and ordering taxis whenever we asked . The hotel also has a spa we did not have time to utilize. I give this a hotel a 4 out of 5 as its a bit dated looking and a bit pricey for what you get. But overall I do recommend it for its fantastic location ,cleanliness and helpful staff. An overall comfortable stay while...

BRING CASH IF TOU WANT A MASSAGE
The only downside I have is we booked in to get a massage in the hotel. They could only do one person at a time so I went first then my partner went after me. The massage was lovely and the guy really knew what he was doing. After my partners massage he said “money” poor man couldn’t speak English so there was a huge language barrier. My partner picked up his phone to show he would pay with it. The massage guy said “Cash” my partner was like I’ve not got any cash (We didn’t have any) they then walked to the front desk and the massage guy was shouting and throwing his hands at the receptionist being quiet aggressive and frankly scaring my partner. The receptionist translated what the guy was saying to my partner, which was that he needed cash. Then I get a called from my partner saying we need to go to a ATM now. As they wouldn’t let him go anywhere until we had cash. In case of emergencies we both carry a credit card, turns out this was an emergency apparently so we can to rush down the road to a ATM and take money out. Not to mention we got taxed a lot as we were using British cards in a Czech Republic ATM.
We didn’t get an apology as it was their fault in not telling us nor any money to cover the huge tax we had to face..
It was so sad how a massage which is relaxing turned into a very unpleasant situation.
I would give 5 stars if I got...
