I think Waf-Waf is really good, they have a great menu with lots of options. Not to mention their store itself is well designed and cute. In a city with scarce breakfast options, I appreciate Waf-Waf.
However, I cannot support their decision to not include maple syrup with their waffles. It's pretty absurd to me that customers need to not only go out of their way to ask for maple syrup to be served with their waffles.. But, unless you get the single item on their menu that comes with it (MapleWaf), they will charge you extra money for maple syrup.
And, in coronavirus times, they don't allow you to request maple syrup when you order delivery from them. So if you don't want the maplewaf, I guess you're out of luck.
In my opinion, this system is like needing to remind an Italian restaurant that you would like sauce on your spaghetti, rather than just the plain spaghetti noodles. Oh, and that tomato sauce will cost you. Sounds pretty...
Read moreThe place is small, there are 5 tables for two and two bars for 9 people. There are couple of tables outside. The order should be placed at the cashier's, then your name is called and you pick up your order on a tray. Meal vouchers and cards are accepted. There is no AC or fan inside, so during my visit it was hotter inside than outside. You can buy an ice-cream in front of the place, at least during the summer season.
I ordered the Latte and IronWaf (waffle with rucola, egg, bacon for 134 CZK) and the waffle was very tasty, can't say the same about the coffee though - for 65 CZK you can have better coffee at Paul. The service personnel was just ok - not rude, not pleasant. I would see the room for improvement in this area.
General feeling from the place is just average, therefore I am rating 3 stars. Getting a waffle from any kiosk in Belgium is a bit...
Read moreAmazing food, but the staff attitude needs to improve for sure! I encountered an awkward and uncomfortable situation this morning when ordering the wafrappe (iced coffee), as the cashier was frustrated and rude when I pointed out her mistake for serving my drink with icecream when I've mentioned I am highly allergic to milk and and for it not to have ice cream prior to ordering. She was giving horrible attitude, calling me names in Czech, embarrassed and mocked me in front of the staff/customers around highlighting that it was my mistake that I didnt realise milk was in icecream. Her attitude was highly unprofessional and rude, both for treating a customer like that and behaving in...
