Hlávkova Dormitory & Travel Lodging — Hotel in Prague

Id consider this a last resort if you're really struggling to find a place to stay in Prague.

Good points : in the center of Prague, cheap (30€/night) Bad points : they dont speak english very well, you have to leave the key at the desk every time you leave, not super clean, pretty old, you have to go back before 10pm otherwise the front door is closed

There was one instance where I left the ventilation running for like 10 min after taking a shower (no windows so it's necessary), it was 10pm and I heard someone banging at my door extremely loudly for a good 15 min. As a female solo traveler, that's obviously a red flag : no one told me not to use the ventilation, and the person banging didn't have the keys to open the door. They ended up getting the keys (that's how I knew it was the front office, otherwise it could've been anyone) and stopping the ventilation. To this day, I still dont know what did wrong : it's not like I left the dorm without stopping the ventilation. Super stressful. I have bad experiences with this student dorm. Best friends of mine lived there for a year and I went there for a visit many times. One of the problems there is that in winter, the dorm room gets very cold as the windows are old and don't do their job well anymore. The second problem was the staff of the dorm. I did not feel welcome anytime I went there, because of their attitude. The lady at the reception was stern and even angry. And I'm not talking about sometimes, but always. Mi experiencia en el Hostel Hlávkova fue una auténtica pesadilla. Desde el momento en que llegamos, nos dimos cuenta de que el lugar no cumplía con las expectativas mínimas para una estancia confortable. El personal nos recibió con una actitud poco profesional y poco amigable, lo que nos hizo sentir incómodos desde el principio.

La limpieza del hostel era inaceptable; la habitación estaba sucia y en un estado deplorable. Las sábanas y las toallas estaban manchadas y en mal estado, lo que generó una sensación de asco y falta de higiene.

Lo peor vino cuando descubrimos que las camas estaban infestadas de chinches. Las picaduras en nuestros cuerpos eran insoportables y nos causaron una gran angustia. Ante esta situación, nos vimos obligados a abandonar el hostel al día siguiente, a pesar de haber pagado para dos días. No pudimos soportar la falta de higiene y las condiciones insalubres del lugar.

Además, al momento de pagar nos dimos cuenta de que nos habían cobrado más de lo que se indicaba en la reserva de Booking. El personal no mostró ninguna intención de resolver este problema y se mostró poco cooperativo, lo que nos dejó aún más frustrados y decepcionados.

Las instalaciones del hostel eran viejas y descuidadas, especialmente los baños, que estaban en un estado lamentable.

En resumen, mi estancia en el Hostel Hlávkova fue una experiencia desastrosa. El personal poco profesional, la limpieza inaceptable, las camas infestadas de chinches y el cobro excesivo hicieron que nos fuéramos al día siguiente de llegar. No recomendaría este lugar a nadie y sugiero encarecidamente buscar otras opciones de hospedaje más limpias y...
