Be aware, the price per night is not worth the money. We booked for 7 nights expecting the facilities of a standard three star hotel with mini fridge, a lift, and with bottled water provided daily (the only way to get a drink is ordering from the reception) eg. The first noticeable thing for us was an unpleasant enclosed smell in the room and the facilities weren’t very clean. Not only did they not look neat, we noticed that the shower draining system was not working properly. What’s worse, after washing my hair normally for the first time, it clogged! That resulted in a flood in the room, literally forming a tiny lake on the rug outside of the bathroom. As we knew that it will take time to dry and it smelled terrible while drying, on our way to breakfast we notified the receptionist about the incident. Surprisingly, the receptionist didn’t even seemed surprised, and stated that other rooms had similar conditions, and that they will fix it without offering a change of room. Since the smell was affecting our stay, we eventually had to ask for a change of room, which she agreed to, so we left our key at the reception early in the morning. We came back at noon hoping to rest for a while in the room when we were told that they’ve fixed the problem and asked us again if we wanted to change the room. We thus thought we should at least take a look at how the situation was. As we opened the door, the unpleasant odor was so strong I almost puked 🤢 ! The flood in the room was still there, with nothing organized, and the bathroom was a mess with clogged hair all over the place! We packed everything and headed down to accept the other room. The new room was smaller with a strange smell. Ironically, it had the exact same problem with the drainage system in the shower (not as severe), and the TV was mounted on the wall next to the bed instead of in front of it. The only perk of this hotel is the great hotel location, very close to the main spots, and friendly services from other...
Read moreTo start off, the hotel has a PRIME location: think of every sight you want to visit and it's literally a walking distance away. And if you're not in the mood for walking just take the tram (really cheap in Prague and close to the hotel).
The people at the reception (24/7 reception) are nice and helpful. So are the cleaning ladies. Really comfy beds. I wanted to take the duvet home. Rooms are clean and have heaters.
Breakfast is OK. The Japanese restaurant next to the hotel provides the breakfast.
Now the lesser parts: it's a bit loud at all times of the day. If you have trouble sleeping through car noises and tram noises; this might not be the hotel for you. Or you could ask for a room that does not face the street.
When taking a shower, the water does not easily go through the drain and sort of pools around your feet. Also the whole bathroom gets wet.
Thin walls, so you can hear the people in the room next to you (luckily for me I only had a loud neighbor for 1 day)
But overall you get your money's worth. I would definitely come...
Read moreMy experience: When we step into the room we realised immediately that there were less than 15 degrees. The heater machine on the 3rd floor was down. A problem can happen, but is the way how you solve it. The girl at the reception we found when we arrived was completely out of mind. Never experienced something like that. She didn’t accepted my proposal for refund and leave the hotel (even if it was 1 am and I had to look for another place to stay) nor gave us another room. Luckily the following morning her shift ended and the guy at the reception acted immediately as another room was available since the previous night. I hope that the girl will discover that isn’t the right job for her, she was embarrassing. The breakfast is a little poor comparing to the standards I found in my other trips. I was expecting at least a refund for the first night, but seems to be no decisional power and I...
