It feels like a bit of a ripoff. It's supposed to be an hour cruise, but what they don't tell you is that 30 minutes of that is spent just standing in a sluice gate. And another chunk of time is spent just parked at a smaller pier. Quite boring.

The cruise itself, when it actually cruises, is fine. The view of the city from the river is great. There are speakers on the deck, which play prerecorded information about most important sights in many langues (there's definitely English, Czech, Polish, French, German). But the problem is, the speakers are not loud. So, unless you are sitting at the table right next to one, you won't hear a thing.

The cruise from Prague to Slapy was an enjoyable experience. The journey lasted 4 hours, providing ample time to enjoy the beautiful views and tasty food. The food prices were pleasantly affordable, and the dishes themselves were delicious. We took the first boat (small old town cruise) in the morning @ 11 a.m. It took nearly an hour and we found it great. We were 2 adults + 2 kids and paid 700 CZK (approx 27 euro). You can pay cash or by CC. We had some drinks as well for very reasonable prices. (Espresso, Aperol Sprizz, Apple juice and Beer - 280 CZK). On the boat you can pay cash only.
