Karl by ZEITRAUM — Hotel in Prague

First off, we were very pleasantly surprised to find out that we got a free room upgrade upon entering the room! We were also allowed to check in early which we also really appreciated. The room was very spacious (especially for just two people), clean, and well designed. The huge windows in the living room plus the balcony in the bedroom were nice touches. It was handy having our own washing machine but they also had a washing machine & dryer free for anyone to use on the -1 floor. Another huge plus is that they do offer free laundry pods if needed. Beds were comfy. The room had all the necessary amenities. The location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Prague main station, near to bus & tram stops, lots of restaurants and super/minimarkets nearby. We also felt quite safe as there is a police station just down the road. Entry to both the building & rooms is secure. Staff, especially Julia the receptionist, were very accompdating and easy to communicate with. All in all, we had a great stay here and we would not hesitate staying here again. Cosy hotel in the more quiet part of the city, but wit Metro, trams and bus lines all around, 20min walk to the Prague atronomical clock and Charles bridge. You have everything you need for your stay in Prague, with comfy bed and blackout blinds to get your good night sleep! There are retail chain stores 5min walk from the hotel (Billa, Zabka...) ignore the tourist trap ones that are closer! Self check-in and out kiosk is a novelty, but a nice one, hotel itself is spacios and quiet, street is not loud even during the day (we had windows closed-Prague winter), there is a avenue leading to the center down the road, and multiple eateries and...

My stay at the hotel was pleasant. It was clean and located about a 15-minute walk from the city center, close to shops and restaurants. We had difficulty checking in because it was self check-in, even though we arrived at the scheduled time when reception staff were supposed to be present. We struggled carrying our luggage because there were stairs before reaching the elevator, and no staff were available to help.
