Hostal Oasis Quito — Hotel in Centro Histórico

We paid Hostelworld a deposit of $7 and the hotel charged us $22. The sign at the desk said $12.50 per person/night.. ||||The room was ok with one full sized bed. The bathroom was small. There's very little space to move around when washing your face. The edge of the toilet bowl almost hits the door when the door is open. The shower head is facing the curtains that had a lot of mildew on them. ||||The walls are thin. When we stayed there we could hear people arguing. Our room was the first one up the stairs. I would suggest earplugs & bring your own towel. ||||They can store your luggage with no charge if you need to go somewhere but have to check out. ||||Breakfast is NOT included. There is a place you can eat around the corner that has breakfast for $2.50. The hostal is located near the Basilica (church). Businesses close early and almost all the apartments, houses, buildings close early and have metal bars on the doors...

You surely have to arrive by car, and every room has it's own private parking lot (which is good) if you don't count the guard that personaly opens the garage door for you to park the car, but then leaves without closing it (which is bad). Has a wide selection of beverages and snack in a tiny bar in the room (which is good) but if you get to get in...we have to wait almost 10 minutes knocking on the door and shouting for someone to open it up until a maid that was cleaning the room next door, heard us and finally opened (which is very baaaad). My score? Not going back. Is too far, too unprofessional, not at all fancy in any way, and too expensive for what it...

when I arrived in Quito I went to the hostal I had booked and the owner tried to charge me 3 times what was writen in my confirmation so I walked away and found this hostal Oasis, 10 dolars/night and located in San Blas near Marin Central bus station form where we can go anywhere and walking distance from any place in Old town so no more walking searching for a place to stay and no regrets.||It´s a simple hostal but comfortable, honest people and very good...
