The avocado sandwich and ham sandwich are very good and gourmet for Latin America. If you're looking for home comforts this is the place to go. Good freshly prepared and excellent quality for the price. Be warned though, portions aren't big but you can pad it out with some garlic bread for a dollar. The sandwiches were $3-4. Great atmosphere and they have a large tv which they show football matches on. The perfect place to eat if you're tired of chicken and rice. Went a second time and had the quesadillas with 3 ingredients for $4, it is a tortilla with toppings you choose and then another tortilla on top. It's then cooked and cut like a pizza. It's very good but not enough to fill the average person, portion good for a child. The wifi at the cafe is good enough to make whatsapp calls. Please note the cafe was not open at 9am most mornings (not sure when it opens) and on Sunday's...
Read moreReally good food, different than a lot of what's around. The prices are astoundingly low for the amount of food you get. We had breakfast there, and ordered a variety of sandwiches and plates, and everyone got a $0.70 omelette or scrambled eggs on the side. All the dishes had good flavor and was very fresh.
The ambience and decor is eclectic, and most everything is for sale. Somewhere between funky and cluttered, but it feels lived in a comfortable. There was one person working, as other reviews have noted, presumably the owner. She was very friendly and professional, but again as noted by others, it does take quite a bit of time for four meals to come out. Don't come here if you're in a hurry, but if you've got some time I would highly recommend the...
Read moreWe didn’t have the food but we did the coffee tour ran by the owner of the cafe and our tour guide Edwin. Edwin was a fantastic guide who taught us so much history on coffee, not only in Ecuador but from around the world. The owner was also brilliant and we had a great time conversing with them. We had 9 different coffee shots which included different roasts, flavours and ways of making it and even got to be involved with some of the making ourselves. It was a brilliant experience. Definitely value for money as it was 25-30 dollars person. Highly recommend it to people even if they aren’t...
