I had a generally good experience staying at La Rosa resort with my family and I wanted to share a few comments about my experience.
The rooms were acceptable as per price. The showers were ok but hot water wasn’t not always available. The beds were honestly quite comfortable and the air conditioning in our room worked perfectly fine. But overall room service was responding very fast to any complaint or request .
The resort has a decent selection of activities to do throughout the day. This includes the swimming pools, aqua park, beach and beach dancing, and a roster of multiple shows happening at night.
The swimming pools weren’t the cleanest, you could often see mysterious items floating in the water(leaves?)and there would also be ripped parts of the pool floor. The aqua was quite decent and rather enjoyable, note that the aqua park hours are from 10 am to 12 am and 2 pm to 4 pm, would be better if it was open for longer. The beach was okay, there was a good amount of sand but also quite a few stone around the beach, in and out of the water. One thing I liked about this beach was that you’d occasionally see fish swimming around. At night there was few different shows to indulge in, from the ones I experienced, they were quite entertaining and amusing.
They provided a good selection of dishes, salads and a deserts for all the meals. The food provided was good but inconsistent. I found that the chances of the main dishes being good was a 50/50 gamble, but since there were other options I didn’t mind that. The salad bar was tasty. The drinks bar was not the best, they only provided tap water, a few fizzy drinks and powder juice. They didn’t have a proper milk jug and would pour straight from the bag for breakfast. The breads and pastries were not the best and the desert had a weird aftertaste to them. Some deserts wouldn’t be sweet enough. The only thing that was consistently good in the restaurant was the salads and fruits. This is only a suggestion; but it would probably be beneficial to set a limit for the amount of times you can get a fizzy drink for under 12s, as it is not healthy to allow them to get as many drinks as they want whenever they want it. Nevertheless, the service was great, tables were cleaned constantly and the workers were friendly.
The location of the resort was central. It is near many restaurants, souvenir shops and other attractions. So if you ever decide to explore the city, you won’t be disappointed.
Safety wise, the resort was quite good. Nothing of our possessions were stolen, and I never had to worry about it.
TLDR; the resort was enjoyable for my family with many activities to do. The location and service is great. However, some of the rooms were...
Read moreWhere to start, this is by far the worst all inclusive holiday I’ve ever been on. I almost feel bad for writing this review, but the false advertisement is crazy. You CANNOT eat there, the food is inedible, I’ve genuinely never seen anything like it. I’ve also never been to a hotel where you’re harassed by people to buy things whilst sunbathing. As a woman, leaving the hotel was out of the question due to the location and the harassment from men outside. The staff were friendly, but they were always trying to sell something so the service had an agenda. The drinks were in shot size cups, again, never had anything like it. The private beach has a cafe and the food was brilliant but choice wore thin near to the end of our stay due to running out of ingredients. The pool, unusable, the cover is ripped. The rooms, filthy. My feet were black if I didn’t have anything on them. The shower was unusable. The sheets dirty and felt horrific on my skin. Cleaners were in every day, but removing rubbish and making beds, the place has never seen a duster in its life. I stupidly left money in the bedside drawers and 1000EGP was stolen! The entertainment was non existent. I’ve never experienced anything like it. There’s a problem with stray cats there too. I was very sad to see so many not receiving proper care. I’m such an animal person and some of the kittens were sick whilst every female was pregnant or had multiple males harassing daily. Distressing to see. I know that can not be managed but considering the hotel is making money off people, maybe they could work with a rescue to get the cats spayed at the very least. I wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me. Worst place...
Read moreWould not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms shown in the pictures are definetly not what you will get there. The rooms are much more degraded We waited 2 hours to get our room and after we complained about how long it takes I believr they changed our room because we saw on the card that the room number was scribbled and another one was written. They do not want to tell you where the room is located so you will be forced to pay a tip to the guy taking the luggage to your room. The first room was terrible, definetly not what we paid for, very small, AC was working only on high speed and i couldn't even change the angle. In the bathroom there was water dripping from the ceiling and if you took a shower you would literally flod the whole bathroom. I went back to ask for another room and they said they have none available. After 30 more minutes i went back again with money in the passport and VOILA 3 rooms magically appeared and they presented each one of them so i can choose which one i liked. They do not want to give you bottled water. We got 2 0.5l bottles of water per day and if you went to the bar they would give you water in 150ml glasses from a container and the water tastes terrible. Also they use plastic cups for everything and most of them are washed poorly cause you can even see juice drops on some of them. Also at the bars they put water in the beer and the stronger alcoholic drinks are vodka with flavour cause they all...
