Simonds Bakery — Restaurant in Giza

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Simonds Pastry. I placed an order through their official website, received confirmation, and expected everything to go smoothly. Unfortunately, not only was my order never fulfilled—it seems like it was never even prepared.

This kind of oversight is completely unacceptable, especially when the order was placed directly through the company’s own platform. There was no communication, no update, and absolutely no effort to resolve the issue proactively.

I had high expectations based on their reputation, but this experience has left me frustrated and deeply dissatisfied. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their service and...

EDIT: Owners claim this is a fake review. We did order from them as it shows on the pictures I submitted and their logo is on the desserts we ordered. This is truly a terrible way to address bad service and reviews. A ton of good places in Cairo, this is not one of them.

Avoid this place if you are from out of town. We tried ice cream and cappuccino and had an immediate upset stomach... we suspect the milk they used was not fresh. The service was mediocre I had to chase them to get my receipt. The cakes do not look appetizing either... They look almost plastic. We ordered some Arabic sweets to go and these were unfortunately terrible too. This was a one and done...

Unfortunately one of the managers working on Wed 28 Dec 22 tried to charge me more than the costs advertised in the store for a mix box of desserts/bakeries. I had to do the calculations myself, show it to him and then he just pretended like nothing happened. Negotiating at the market or places where prices are not advertised is fine, but not in a place where everything has a clear price.

Too bad, as it was otherwise tasty. Based on other reviews and replies from the owners, they don't seem reflective on...
