CLEAN, COMFORTABLE and GREAT VALUE accommodation with the most HELPFUL, WELCOMING and GENUINE hosts.|About the hosts:|I can’t praise Amr enough! He has not only been an amazing host but has become our dear friend during our stay. From the first moment he made our holiday so easy and was looking out for our best interest!|He came to pick us up from Cairo airport at 3:00 AM in the morning , drove us to the pharmacy when I had a stomach ache (not Pharaoh’s disease), and made us great breakfast and coffee every day. Amr is also a certified guide so he helped us plan our days, was our guide on some of our day trips and gave us recommendations for things to do. We can’t thank him enough for such a fantastic time!|About the accommodation:|My boyfriend and I have stayed in the Family room for 7 nights. Honestly, for the money that we payed we got way more than what we expected! We had a lovely spacious room with a massive double bed, a small but functional bathroom and a stunning view of the Pyramids and Sphinx from the 13th floor of an apartment building. Most importantly our room was clean. The living room is shared between three rooms so it’s not crowded. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking and the hosts really put in the extra effort to make the space comfortable, clean, stylish and very “instagrammable”.|About the location:|Just remember: Cairo/Giza is an incredibly busy city with a lot of people, traffic, old buildings and quite dirty streets. But this is everywhere! The building that we stayed in is in a SAFE area with shops and restaurants close by. Immerse yourself in the culture! The elevator (lift) in the building works with a remote control. Just text Amr and he will bring you the keys.|Top Tip:|Once you book your stay reach out to Amr (host) through Booking or WhatsApp. He is super helpful and quick with his responses and will answer all your questions so you know...
Read moreWe booked through Booking for a quadruple room with a pyramid view for 3 nights. We were allowed to check out late in the evening. Hard to find as there is no distinct signage. Located in a small alley next to the Philea Papyrus shop that is no longer in operation. Quiet neighbourhood. Close to a bakery, a supermarket & ATMs. The area seems safe with friendly locals who can speak little English.
It is an old building, you'll be surprised to see how scary & dirty the small corridor outside the lift is. Go to the 13th floor for the rooftop/cafe. It's winter, so we didn't go to the rooftop to hang out. Our room was on the 10th floor. The lift is special, using a remote to go to your floor.
The room was not so clean. Bathroom drains clogged & uncontrollable water heater. Comfortable mattress. Majestic & amazing view. Good air cond & WIFI. There is an automatic kettle & a few coffee & sugar sachets & a fridge too. No room service. Contact Mr. Salah, the owner, whatever you need.
Breakfast was the same every day. But delicious. They took 30 minutes to prepare them.
If you are on a budget & want a room with a view, this is the place. But don't expect it to be like any guesthouses in...
Read moreOscar is an amazing host, you'll arrive a tourist and leave as family! This guest house also literally has the best view of the pyramids from the highest rooftop in Giza! From full delicious farm fresh home cooked meals to amazing guidance to all of the sites and special places in the region! You'll feel safe and taken care of by Oscar and his staff, this was my third trip to Egypt and by far the best stay we've ever had! Thank you Oscar! Anything you need, he can provide or organize. I highly recommend using his shuttle service to and from the airport as then you easily find the right place. As with all places in Giza, places can be hard to find when navigating on your own. If you've been to Giza previously then you'll know this is to be expected. You will have an easy and enjoyable experience at Oscars rooftop, when traveling out a tuktuk driver can easily get you to the pyramids out sphinx in a minute or two. There are shops with everything you need within walking distance. Thank you Oscar, this journey was the best experience of my life. I arrived to experience the pyramids (again) and I left with a brother! I will see...
