Mohammed Farouk and his crew provide outstanding customer service. This was our first time in Egypt, and we stayed in four different hotels in Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh, including some 5-star luxury resorts. None of them compared to the hospitality, warmth and INCREDIBLE views of the pyramids of Giza on offer at this Inn. Upon our arrival, Farouk showed us to our room and the breezy, rooftop bar, a delightful spot where you'll enjoy breakfast and sunsets along with an evening cocktail with those amazing pyramids in the background. Farouk then took us on a walk around the neighborhood, treated us to a tasty welcome lunch and we just hung out with the locals that have known Farouk since he was a kid. Seriously an unforgettable way to get to know Egypt - by actually hanging out, laughing and exchanging stories with our lovely Egyptian hosts. Finally, what really showed how much the folks here care - I had a work zoom meeting that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make given the timing of our flights. The staff here are amazing—kind, hardworking, and the only positive part of this stay. Sadly, the owner is dishonest and takes advantage of both guests and staff. He referred us to places where the original price was $20 but we were charged $200 (10x more). He also arranged an airport ride for 1400 EGP, but the driver only received 350 EGP, and then told the driver we were “cheap” and had only paid 500 EGP. Rooms are worth about $30, yet he charges $90 while his staff earn almost nothing. To make it worse, there are many other places with the same views and better service for a fraction of the price—where you’ll experience genuine Egyptian hospitality. The exceptional staff, particularly concierge Abraham, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Abraham's knowledge of the local area helped us set up affordable tours and navigate Egypt safely. His honesty and trustworthiness made him the only person we felt we could rely on.
