R14 was a memorable visit. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Our waiter—with pink-purple hair—was a masterclass in hospitality: warm, attentive, and answering every question with finesse. A true professional.
We came on a friend’s recommendation, and for once everything they promised was spot on. The wine list was the standout—refreshingly different for Estonia, with more complex, wine-lover options at fair, sensible prices. Proper stemware, lovely lighting, comfortable furniture—the atmosphere tied it all together, and no wonder the place was packed.
Food was mixed. Highlights: the beef tataki was really nice (we genuinely enjoyed it), the prawns were cooked perfectly, and the tiramisu was lovely. Misses: the cauliflower was overcooked, pasta…, the steak ordered medium-rare arrived rare, the corn-fed chicken was dry, and many flavors were buried under a spicy tomato sauce.
And yet, I didn’t mind. The service was superb, the room welcoming, and the wines were excellent. I loved the experience and will definitely return the next time I’m in Estonia.
Verdict: • Wine lovers: VISIT • If great service matters: VISIT • If food is your top priority: RISKY—but the highlights and the rest of the experience carried the night.
Rating: ★★★★☆ — the only reason it’s not five stars is the food (some dishes shone,...

I enter and ask if I could get two chairs to join the table with my friend. The girl replies no, they are full.
I ask another waiter, please can we get two chairs. Yes he replies and brings two chairs.
We couldn’t order immediately because we hadn’t had time to look through the menu yet, he asked to come back.
Girl come out and take our order. We order two champagne glasses, one for me and one for my girlfriend.
Waitress comes out with the champagne bottle, fills it up the two glasses. We taste it, strange it taste like sparkling water. I hand it over to my friends sitting around the table and they also agree that it lack alcohol taste and like sparkling water.
Waiter ( the guy ) comes over and gives us an apology and the women takes our glass, out with two new glass. A new bottle ( same label on the bottle ) and pours champagne. Big apology along with her pouring the drink on to our glass.
We made no big scene and it’s human to make mistakes. But I think I’ll leave a bad review, yes there is a lot to do now during to summer. But everyone serves someone, wether it’s customers or their own employees. It’s no excuse, also having two same branded bottle for sparkling bottle and champagne is suspicious.
I do not recommend this...
Read moreI was a little late to come, close to kitchen closing (kitchen closes an hour before the restaurant, which is not usually the case in my country). Still, I was greeted with a warm welcome, and my server Kerda was helpful in letting me know about the time and what could be ordered still. Other staff members were lovely as well.
I was also recommended the main dish (octopus) and the wine, which were both excellent.
The place is lovely and cozy, beautiful decor and paintings on walls, candles on tables and fitting music. The food was delightful, one of the best meals I've had this time around in Tallinn. Burrata was paired well with prosciutto, lightly roasted tomatoes, and homemade pesto, which was divine. The octopus was well cooked (not at all chewy!), the side potatoes, olives, and greens, and the delicious sauce complimented each other really well.
You also get delicious homemade sweet rye bread with artisanal butter along with your meal.
Glass of wine, burrata appetizer, and the octopus main cost me 47€, which I find reasonable for the quality (definitely not a cheap eat, but I wasn't going for that either).
Would go again and recommend to others, and a big thank you for Kerda for a lovely, attentive service and your...
