Overall, we liked everything. Clean, stylish room. Convenient contactless access, good location. We chose a "loft" room for three travelers (two adults and one child - 14 years old. 182 cm tall). Other travelers should take note before booking (this is not a complaint, just a comment!!!) - the double bed on the second level is recommended for people no taller than 145 cm - the ceiling height does not allow taller people to stand up. I did not find information about the ceiling height, or I did not pay attention to it when I booked the room. Parking - the website contains information that parking spaces are available on the street for 3EUR per hour, as well as information where to find cheaper street parking spaces for 1.5 EUR per hour, but it would be good to also indicate that there is parking on the opposite side of the street, in the yard, available for 10EUR per day. For those who want something more than a bun for breakfast, I recommend not choosing to pay for breakfast when booking a room. The hotel's cafe does not offer anything else, while the Werner cafe, located 5 minutes away (which is also included in the 10 EUR breakfast package), offers something else only after 8:30 AM. The kitchen in the room allows you to cook everything you want for breakfast, having previously purchased it at a nearby grocery store. But otherwise - the hotel is good and appropriate...
Read moreVisually this is my favourite hotel so far. The design was amazing. I really appreciated that the windows could be opened, which is rare in the hotels. Cool touch was the Polaroid camera and yoga mat. The place thinks about sustainability, which is also important. Location- wise it was very good - just next to the botanic garden. The small downside for those who are not used to noise, is that the hotel is close to a road which is quite busy in the morning, while at night local youth can be talking loudly on the street. Need to keep in mind that there's no aircon in the room (there's a ventilator) which I found great because I sleep with open windows, and the temperature at the sleeping area is higher, so there may be no need for a blanket. I absolutely loved the no reception concept. You receive the code to enter the building, and then all communication goes through WhatsApp (which all introverts will appreciate). Breakfast-wise, there are two options: café downstairs or Werner's cafe. Since we went for breakfast after we checked out at 11h, there was no longer a breakfast menu available. However, we could choose (at Werners) the pastry and quiches in the value of our breakfast. The food we chose was very tasty. Just keep in mind that if you want a proper breakfast, you must go before 11h (which was not told to us through the communication...
Read morePoor lighting (can't do makeup, one of the lamps wasn't working, the ceiling lights were extremely dim, the whole place felt like a cave or a prison — very dark — while the spotlight was harsh, cold white).
Entering the room took about an hour, because the code didn’t work — they had changed both the code and the room in their system during the day, but I had already saved the access code around noon, and they had changed it just before check-in. At first, it wasn’t clear what the issue was. Support didn’t understand Estonian. Later, even after explaining in English, they couldn’t solve it either.
The building itself is a massive labyrinth, which makes it quite difficult to move around with luggage. The corridors and elevator door are very narrow (definitely not recommended for people with wheelchairs or strollers).
There is no proper surface near the sink — nowhere to place toothbrushes, a makeup bag, or a hairdryer (without risking an electric shock).
Missing shower wall, which results in the entire bathroom floor getting wet right away.
Only duvet covers instead of duvets. The duvets were in the closet, but I had to put...
