Pühaste Kelder — Restaurant in Tartu linn

I just don't know what to make of this place. Everything Puhaste does is so well done and thought out except this bar.

The positive is that the beer selection is great. They always have fantastic beer.

The negatives are slightly more. When Puhaste took over the bar they did literally nothing to the space itself. It looks exactly the same as it did prior to them moving in. I understand the money went into the new tap system, but still. It's an odd space.

The service can swing from fine to downright hostile depending on who's working. I was short poured slightly (which whatever, it happens) and asked for a fill up. I was argued with and made to feel like it was my fault. Dudes, it was next to another beer in the exact same glass and it was not even at all. I don't like being put in the position where I have to ask to begin with, just fix your obvious mistake! Even if the customer is wrong, isn't it easier to just squirt a little foam in the glass to make them happy?

I'll probably still stop in from time to time, but I don't go very often at all due to the above issues. Puhaste, please get your bar's quality up to the rest of your products! It's...

Spent two nights in Tartu and spent two nights with Pühaste. The bar is perfectly located, when you sit outside you can just chat, sit and watch the colorful crowd moving in and out of the partyzone. Also, attracts a lively and fun, but ultimately reasonable crowd. The cellar is so fitting for a taproom! A great place to drink real good craft beer. They have 20 beer on tap plus many option in bottles: local but also guests from many other countries. I tried some beer. I was in Tartu for one day and I decided to buy some beer to bring at home (61€). I have been a bit surprise and disappoint to pay a pub price for beer to bring away (arriving at home I realise I paid around double price respect order it online).
