Kivi baar — Restaurant in Tartu linn

Generally a nice bar but have to leave a comment here about the security. As I entered the bar today the security guy took a water bottle from my backpack's side pocket and was verbally very forceful saying that I can't enter with my own drinks and would have to take it outside. Understandable, but totally unacceptable to take stuff from people's bag without a permission and being so forceful and rude! Honestly, where are people's manners? Polite explanation would've been sufficient and our group would've spent our money there tonight rather than in another bar 🤷‍♀️ I wish I would've addressed the security guard directly in that moment, but unfortunately I was totally taken aback by...

Kivi is one of the select few places in Tartu that still tries to keep it's atmosphere tolerant and harassment free as it understands it's critical role of being a hub for alternative culture and a keeper of Tartu spirit. The negative reviews here are by clients who comprehend little of the previous sentence. The parties, DJ-s, employees and regulars are some of my favourite things in Tartu. Kivi is a passion project and a public service. Treat it as such. They have invested a lot over the last few years to modernize and add value to the venue. A pretty unique pub/venue with little courtyard and multi level bar section.
