Krempel — Restaurant in Tartu linn

The establishment presented a visually striking ambiance; however, do not allow the decor to deceive you. The pricing appeared relatively reasonable at a modest 12 € for four pancakes; yet, these pancakes were small and rather dense. The flavour profile was decidedly lacking, for although some toppings were generously applied, they fell short of elevating the overall experience. It was neither an authentic Estonian nor an American pancake affair. Our coffees were served with commendable promptness; regrettably, our table's order languished for a full hour, resulting in our coffees long being devoid of refreshment. They did not bring a fork for one of us. It was subsequently revealed that they were in the midst of training novice chefs, and with only two in attendance, they were overwhelmed by the influx of patrons. One chef graciously approached us to extend an apology after we inquired about the status of our meal, he did it twice. The place did not make a try to remedy the situation of our group. I understand if your staff is swamped, but it would have been acceptable if we were made note of that or given like a coffee or dessert as a token of appreciation.

A charming little place run by enthusiastic young people. Cosy and child-friendly, with an innovative menu and excellent service, Krempel has quickly become popular even though Tartu midtown had a wide selection of cafés already. If you love coffee, this is the place with the best and largest cups in town. If you're a late riser, you can enjoy breakfast here until the evening. But their real forté is a fantastic cake shelf: not very large but always delicious, changing each day and displaying all kinds of experimental fun. In summer, you can take a seat in the hidden courtyard where they sometimes arrange concerts or show movies. I always bring my foreign guests to Krempel, but I've also held a lot of business meetings there, or just worked on my laptop while they keep those beautiful lattés flowing. The best this town has to offer, indeed.

Good place to go. Many people are inside the coffee place and the vibe open, friendly, calm and staff is young.

Such a Young Team are leading this coffee place and I was really surprised how calm the team are. No stress, no Hektik… everything went super smooth, service was fast, food came quick.

Soup of the day Fantastic sandwich Water 13€

Soup was delicious, little spicy and from my place at the open kitchen bar I could whiteness how they prepared my food. Almost in silence! Amazing!
