I have been to Cannes twice. First time I stayed in the Marriott and this time at Hotel Le Fouquet. Hotel Le Fouquet was a 100 times better and so much better price. Our flight was delayed and Monique stayed up until 1 am to wait for us. We felt really bad, but she was still smiling and cheery and so nice about it. She showed us to our apartment and it was really lovely. There was an elevator so it made it easy to take up our bags to 1st floor. Really beautiful white apartment with the most modern amenities: dishwasher, oven, full-size fridge, microwave, Nespresso machine and water kettle plus all kitchen supplies and flat screen tvs in each room and the living room. The location can't be beat. Right by the Marriott, the Croisette and minutes away from the Rue de Antibes for shopping. We walked to the Marche Forville and bought supplies like organic eggs, croissants, jam and olives for breakfast and took back to the apartment to eat on the terrace. We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed Cannes at this apartment. I would definitely stay here again and am hoping to in the future. Why anyone would stay at the expensive hotels which aren't as clean or spacious just steps from this one is beyond me. Only thing I can say is that I heard the people above open their closets and drawers early in the morning but we were up...
Read moreThis hotel sucks! To begin with, they put us in another building that wasn't even part of the hotel, but residential. When we go to a hotel, stuck for daily cleaning and change of towels and bedding. under the bed a lot of dust, dirty sheets. old, weak and dirty air conditioners. The cleaning just happened after I insisted, because she said it was already 13h p.m. and it was very late. The receptionist is an older lady, very rude, mocking and without any empathy. In the bathroom, strange and wrong architectural constructions, I hit my head on the wood that is on top of the toilet, my head opened, with a lot of blood. I spent the night in the hospital, I missed a flight to another destination, hotel and everything and asked to do a late checkout and she made fun of the video I showed her and she said “because of that? My family are all doctors.” Without any empathy, I could have died because of a piece of wood that is in the wrong place and that was built the wrong way. Impossible other people didn't hit their head there too or will still hit...
