DONT STAY IN ROOM 601!!! I think my review may be more negative based on the room they gave me… First issue- Bathroom is set up for handicap access in the MIDDLE of the toilet and sink meaning EVERYTHING gets wet. The guy let me check in one hour early so I didn’t complain but in hindsight I wish I did ask for a switch. It was uncomfortable to leave anything in the bathroom because all things get wet. Second issue - hot water ran out at midnight and we couldn’t shower but we can control it from our room so I turned boiler on. The next morning the water was so SCALDING hot even at the coldest knob setting, it was unbearable for my partner. I took a shower next (he took a ten min shower) the water went from scalding to freezing . The boiler looks big so something is definitely broken. Third issue - WiFi!!!! Non-existent WiFi. My partner is in IT and had to work . We went down to the lobby to see if getting closer to main router was better but nothing worked. The doorman at the time was really awesome and drove somewhere to get us a hot spot device so my partner could finish important work for just ten minutes. If you plan on working while traveling - DONT do it here!! In 2023, …bad WiFi is unacceptable. Fourth issue - absolutely no soundproofing. I paid for a superior room with balcony in January not for balcony access but simply so I get the high floor to avoid noise that other reviewers complained about. I got 6th floor instead of 7th and at 8am it sounded like people were running a marathon upstairs making the craziest noises. Not for people who sleep in! Fifth issue - the only table we had (coffee table) was wobbly/ broken. Sixth issue- balcony door in bedroom has a broken lock. Although it’s unlikely someone will hop over the balcony and break in, still presents a safety issue. Location- great for night life Room (outside of bathroom) was good and clean Staff- great (especially the night shift African guy on Friday that didn’t speak English) Would I recommend staying??? No if you plan on working and need wifi. Maybe if you specify no weird bathroom like the one I got. I was able to use bathroom earlier on 1st floor and the room was NOT like mine . Can’t attest to water temp issues though and would not trust sound proofing ability. LASTLY- 4 star hotel???? No way! It gave them the right to charge me €8+ per night per person city tax....
Read moreI was on a vacation to Paris with my family, but when we got out of the metro we were surrounded by "adult shops" that I have heard of but never seen before, and my parents were shocked. This didn't impact the experience too much but it filled my whole family with dread when we walked down the street getting home each day. This was not the hotel's fault but they should at least warn you that they are there before you book a room though I understand why they don't. Funnily enough the only road with the adult shops is bd. de Clichy, the surrounding ones are not as dodgy.||||Service was mediocre as when we went in, the hotel attendant was on a very long work call. Plus the safe was not working at first and we had to get a person to come in and sort it out.||||The room we were in was a very big room with 3 TVs and soft sofas, many sockets for phone charging. It was very value for money (though I can see why) and it was nice and clean, the beds were big and there was a sofa bed in our room that we just used as a normal sofa. It had a hob, cutlery and plates, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer but only one toilet: pretty good.||||It is quite easy to get here via metro, you can go to the closest station: Blanche on line 2 which is like next door, but it is very easy to walk there from Pigalle on lines 2 and 12 or place de Clichy on lines 2 and 13 whichever is more convenient. It is relatively easy to walk to Sacre Coeur from there and for the adults with a lot of money, moulin rouge is next door. There are souvenir shops around and there is a supermarket. The food around there is great - I recommend the Vietnamese restaurant that you go right from the hotel, keep walking until you reach a tiny junction with 2 rights, then instead of the sharp right, take the obtuse one and keep walking, you should find it.||||Overall I am satisfied here, if I could give it 3 and a half stars I would, a great room but definitely take note of the adult shops. However if you don't mind them then it is definitely a...
Read moreWe spent ten nights at the “Be You.” We travel all over the world (North America, Europe, Africa, Asia) for work staying in hotels and apartments more than 90 nights a year, so we have a reasonable basis for comparison. Our overall rating is very poor due to the disconnect in communication between what is promised as services and what we received. The “Be You” advertises as “luxury hotel treatment,” but there is no service like a hotel.
Despite staying at this location for ten nights, we had to ask each time we wanted clean towels, toilet paper, paper towels or to have our trash removed. And never in the ten days was the floor cleaned or the bed made, despite being told daily that it would happen. We did not get clean sheets after 10 days. When we arrived, the floor was filthy (when you get out of the shower the floor turns to mud) and it looked like the floor under the bed had never been cleaned. This suggests that there is a hygiene problem elsewhere in the apartment. Further, the apartment above us seemed to have an employee that came home at 11pm every night and brought a child who ran around the apartment from 11 to 1am each night—making it very difficult to sleep.
While the apartment had the amenities we were looking for (kitchenette, living area, balcony) and had excellent bedding (mattress, pillows, comforter) it is not a place we would return to. As other reviewers have noted, the hotel is surrounded by sex shops which weren’t a problem for us, but the all-night noise seven nights a week was unbearable. Most of the outdoor partying starts around midnight and goes until 6:00 in the morning.
The lack of concern for guests is the bottom line. Bad service...
