I went here to get a coffee while I was in the area after leaving Mamiche. I ordered a matcha latte and sat next to a group of individuals who were tourists visiting the area. During our conversation, I mentioned trying Mamiche if they got the chance. After they departed, I started eating my beignet from Mamiche while waiting for my latte. Halfway through finishing my beignet I was approached by a female employee (around noon) with blonde hair who spoke in English and told me it is not customary to eat other food in the restaurant and that they sell the same thing. So I asked her do you all sell beignets? And she responded with well its the same thing. And I said beignets are not the same as crossaints you do not sell beignets. She insisted it was all the same so I just closed the bag. The only reason I did not request a refund is because I had already been waiting 10 minutes for only a latte. If you do not allow outside food, put a sign that says that at the door. Then if you see someone with outside food tell them they can only order to go with outside food. It is BEYOND rude to walk up to someone AFTER they already gave money towards your establishment and have been waiting 10 whole minutes for a latte to tell them not to eat outside food. The truth is the employee over heard me telling the group to go try Mamiche and felt a certain type of way. Instead of being insecure, train your employees on how to properly address the situation as soon as a customer approaches the counter in a way that is private instead of drawing attention to the customer unnecessarily. The worst part about it was after I got my latte it was lukewarm and lacking flavor🤦♀️Do not be jealous of Mamiche because they have a corner literally wrapping around the buildung. It's simple just improve your own pastries and drinks and you too could be like Mamiche. Do yourself a favor and go to Mamiche and order your latte from there. If you want an asian latte like I did, look up some of the local boba tea and asia coffee shops. It is not worth the time, energy, and money especially if you...
