if i could rate this store 0 stars i would. iâm from australia and was on a school europe trip with some friends, we donât have many sephora stores in my city so we were excited to go to sephora as many times as we could. i went in with three friends and we had a pretty good experience up until we went to pay. there were only two cashiers working at once in a very busy store, but would serve each customer at the speed of a snail (no exaggeration). by the time it was my turn to pay, it felt like 20 minutes had passed and i was only the fourth person in the line.
when i got up to the register, the cashier left to go reorganise a skincare shelf nearby. usually i wouldnât mind as they are just trying to do their job, but i was in a rush and she did not seem to even to acknowledge me at all. when she finally came back, again no acknowledgment and she just began to sort out some empty boxes with me in front of her. she took what felt like an age and then sat down and said hello. i passed over the one item i purchased and said hello back. i do not speak french and only know the basics, i wish i knew more so i could speak to french workers in a language they are most comfortable in. but when i said that i dont speak french, she said in a very sarcastic and frankly mean tone âah english⊠đâ and again took her time, whilst i am in a rush. she asked me if i was paying by card to which i replied with âno, cash if thatâs alrightâ, she NODDED, and proceeded to make me pay by card - which i purposely was trying to avoid due to low funds. it took seven minutes just to pay for one lip oil.
once the transaction was over i had to practically sprint out of the store, i was so late to meet up with the rest of my group. i was basically fuming since i held up the entire group of 30 people just for one product.
by the looks of the other reviews, it seems this is not the first time the employees have behaved like this. so...
Read moreThey donât even deserve one star at all.today I went to Sephora near hema and the sales lady was so rude. When I enter i saw the box of products near the mirror and I tried to spray some setting spray then suddenly lady came and said itâs not for the tester.i said u leave in front of mirror..so I thought itâs for tester.if this isnât the tester then why they confused us by leaving in front of mirror.she said come with me.i followed then one big girl came she said I have to pay I said no.off course itâs our first reaction when someone want us pay when we donât want.and then said ok I will pay .then out of nowhere she said either I have to pay or else they will call the police.i said itâs ok i will pay for that.but I donât like the way she speak itâs very very rude m.she donât have single discipline.we r customers not her.when I was going to pay she said something and I answered her but suddenly she said she donât like the way I talk as if Iâm the worker and she is the customer .she said she will call the police and I was like yes please go ahead.y should I be scared when I did nothing wrong i wait for the police for almost 40 minutes and she said they r not coming.that time I was fuming with anger.she wasted my damn 40 minutes for nothing.not gonna visit their again.usually I went their to buy every month.now no chance.she was rude.if Iâm the boss of this Sephora without even thinking I will fired her.oh yeah she discriminated me cuz Iâm asian...
Read moreI asked a staff with a red mask, âwould you recommend me Sephora brand lipsticks that goes with my skin color?â This rude staff didnât even reply my bonjour, and had the nerve to rolled her eyes at me and said that âit would be very complicatedâ Like I literally asked her because we have both dark skin! And she works there in a beauty company she has no idea at all??
Absolutely rude, and even when I asked her I want this color probably similar to what I have, she still say âvoila la câest compliquĂ©â (it was color 16 i found by myself)
To add more rudeness, she even told my husband while looking at him straight that my demand is complicated. She thought that my husband will be on her side? He was already very angry at how she talks. We left her of course
All of my time shopping for a make up brand (other than Sephora brand), they sale assistant will show a range of colors and would even ask more question as it matte gloss etc but obviously not everyone is capable of doing that.
I then went to Benefit counter in Sephora and this beautiful young French woman was more than happy to assist (and I bought) and the other male too suggesting few blushes too so thanks to them I canât say all Sephora staffs are the same. But some needs...
