We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. It’s location was fabulous. We had a decent view/solid glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. It was fun to see it sparkle on the hour at night. The room is small. We had a rollaway bed which basically meant our son slept just a few inches below our mattress next to us not the ideal romantic situation but if you’re not going fo the most romantic city in the world, I highly recommend this set up if you’re traveling with a third wheel. The shower was your typical french shower which meant it had half a glass door, which did a half decent job of allowing only half of the water on the floor instead of staying in the tub. The showerhead could be propped up approximately belly button height, making for fun times. The breakfast was standard for French breakfast meaning no meat but croissants the size of our hotel room and I mean that in the good way. The coffee was fabulous as was the service . Thankfully, it was October and we could open our door to get the cool air and nighttime sirens on the street below.. It is amazing but Parisians do not use their horns which is really nice however, their police like to sound their alarms every time they see a pretty woman. Even if they don’t see a pretty woman, they are kind enough to sound these alarms Right before the REM sleep kicks in. There is a fabulous naked stone statue when you come in that as local tradition holds that each nipple must be tweaked for good luck We had lots of good luck on this trip. Our hotel AC did not work in the American way, however, it made a lot of European gasps and moans and humming so maybe it was working. We only had three nights there so I’m not entirely sure. There is an elevator in the spiral staircase is a must especially if you want to throw paper airplanes and see how far down they could make it. My sons made it one flight. Mine made it down three flights....

An absolute gem of a hotel! Yes, the rooms are quite small, but that is with most hotels in Paris. Also, I was travelling alone so it wasn’t much of an issue.

Other than that, the service is excellent! I booked my room directly with the hotel and the communication was clear and prompt. I had made specific requests regarding the type of room I wanted. The lovely lady at the reception (whom I communicated with on email) remembered my requests, and reserved exactly the right room for me, which was absolutely wonderful! It really shows attention to detail.

Other than that, the daily housekeeping (which is a BIG DEAL to me) was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. Linens nice and clean. The shower had great water pressure. The room had air-conditioning as well as a heater. They didn’t have a hot water kettle, but I was promptly provided with one on request. Essentials were well taken care of. Breakfast was included, which I did not try as I was mostly eating out, but I had coffee every morning and it was pretty good.

The hotel is very well located, with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The neighbourhood is crowded until late at night, which was especially great for me as a solo female traveller. I felt absolutely safe and comfortable at all times of day and night.

As for the cons, the only thing I can think of is that the reception is on the first floor, and so is the lift. Also, the staircase is the spiral kind. So you have to carry your luggage to the first floor yourself. This was not at all a problem for me, but might be an issue for older travellers, or people who travel with lots of luggage.

Overall, I had a lovely time at Hotel Cluny and will definitely be staying here whenever I...

Tiny rooms were expected, not an issue for us but just know they're about the size of a small American bedroom. Broken drawers, outlets that came off the wall when unplugging things, nothing in the shower to stop water from entering the rest of the bathroom, no option to empty the minibar to use it for our own things, and NO AC when it's over 16 degrees (60 f) is ridiculous. I only booked rooms that offered AC, which they advertised. They didn't advertise only AC in the summer and I wasn't the only guests who complained. The rooms were HOT. The "fan" option blew warm air. If we opened the windows the street was incredibly loud and tons of bugs came in. Our room filled with knats instantly. There is ZERO air circulation. It was just miserably hot and stuffy. No exhaust fan in the bathroom so showering made the whole room humid and hot and the entire bath and bed room wet. There was mold due to this. 12 hrs after a shower the bathroom was still soaked on the walls as was the window in the bed room. Water dripped from the window from the moisture all the time causing mold under it. The room smelt of a musty odor. We could hear neighbors talking in their room. Even singing in the shower. Breakfast wasn't much. They left high prices snacks out. They sell bottled water for like 1.50 when you can walk directly outside to the store and get the same brand in a 12 pack for 2.60.

I will say, the people were nice and the location excellent. But the rooms being that hot and wet was just miserable. We couldn't...

Cluny Square was an amazing choice for my first solo trip. The room was pretty and comfortable with a very clean bathroom. The hotel is located in the heart of the Latin district with countless restaurants nearby. I walked to the pharmacy, supermarket and train station in under 5 mins; and I walked to several main attractions in 20 mins - Louvre, d’Orsay, Luxembourg Garden, Notre Dame. Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe are a train ride away. As a solo traveller, I did not feel unsafe walking around the neighbourhood, which was always buzzing even at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked about nearby sites and museums, and during the night when I couldn’t connect the TV. The hotel overall was very clean - masks were required and hand sanitisers were provided at the main entrance and in the lobby area. I didn’t like that to get to the lobby, I had to ascend a flight of stairs - though it was no bother for me who was travelling with one backpack, I can imagine it would bother other travellers who are not fully abled to ascend the stairs. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I’d return. Oh yes, the breakfast was filling 😊

We spent months looking for a suitable hotel in the 6th Arrondissement after the hotel we have been staying in for years was sold. After reading many reviews of hotels in the area, we settled on Hotel Cluny Square and we were not disappointed. The room was perfect and well designed. Having a terrace with French doors made for an authentic stay - and a with views of the Eiffel Tower . As other reviews indicate, plenty of choice for cafes, crepes etc just underneath the hotel. Also great supermarkets nearby selling rotisserie chicken (Franprix is the best by far) Top tip: Book directly with the hotel on their website and breakfast is included. Also, if you have mobility issues there is a small staircase to climb with your suitcases before reception. We had no problem at all with 2 large suitcases. Metro right at door step and buses readily available. Considering the high costs of hotel rooms in Paris, this hotel is very reasonable. Would not hesitate booking again. Highly recommended.
