Le Petit Cluny — Restaurant in Paris

I visited this café with someone, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve had in France. We politely asked for a table for two outside — there were clearly several free ones — but the waiter immediately said there were none available. Only after we pointed them out did he reluctantly allow us to sit.

After sitting down, we waited quite a while without receiving any menus, even though the waiter was standing nearby, doing absolutely nothing. We eventually took menus from another table ourselves. When he noticed, he told us that the kitchen was already closed and that only drinks were available. I ordered a glass of wine and a coffee — both were mediocre at best.

To make matters worse, the waiter brought us the bill together with the drinks, clearly implying that we should leave quickly. Meanwhile, a French couple who sat next to us right after received menus immediately, ordered food without any issues, and did not get the bill upfront.

Finally, the restroom was in terrible condition — dirty, old, and with a very unpleasant smell.

Overall, it was a deeply disappointing experience. The waiter’s attitude felt dismissive and unfriendly, especially toward non-French-speaking guests. I would strongly advise avoiding this place if you expect even a basic level of courtesy and...

i give 5 to protest to super minus judgements because based on my personal experince this restaurant deserves more than the stars they have got. in my personal experience the real star is maybe 4+. to be fair, it maybe depends on what you choose from their menu, but what i got with my mum were totally fine. the price is quite reasonable comparing the most of restaurants around this area. i was here for travel with my mum and had a good time having a lunch in this restaurant. maybe a little bit minus that their waiter is too busy for customers that it took a bit time for service but they did all fine. i do not recommend people in a hurry to come in to any restaurants around here because it's very busy touristic area so you can't expect...

If you're reading this, it's probably too late for you because they probably lured you in while you were passing by. This is a tourist trap that serves low quality food.

We ordered a croque madam and a cheese plate. The croque madam used an equivalent 'Wonder bread'. The accompanying salad was clearly just cheap shredded lettuce. The cheese plate included 3-4 pieces from a few gross cheeses that were very similar. No variety.

We sent the food back and left because it was so bad.
