I was here with a group of 40/50 people and we could have a seat in a special part the restaurant, which we could enter with an extra door in the alley. Nothing wrong with that of course, but we already knew at that moment they had done this before. We were welcomed in a friendly way and we could make 3 choice (starter, main and dessert). We just had our drinks and our starters were put on the table. We were sitting for like 10 min, 4 min after putting our wishes through to the waiters, when the entries showed up. That was very quick in my eyes, perhaps too quick. 10 minutes later the plates of the starters were picked up and 5 minutes later there was the main on the table. I decided to try a duck breast for the first time in my life and I can say I was lucky. The duck breast of all the people of the group who picked duck, were overcooked (accept mine). About 15 minutes later the dishes were taken away and the desserts were on the tables in like 5 minutes after that. But what a dissapointment was that, the quality was just poor! So, in like 1 hour we had a dissapointing 3-course meal and we could leave the restaurant again.
Once, but never again. The food isn't...
Read moreI was expecting it to be bad as usual since restaurants in famous neighborhood are usually poorly managed in Paris, and this one was no different. The waiter was fed up with me and my friends pretty fast as we asked a lot of questions on the menu. Looked like he was so annoyed that we didn't know the menu as he did, kind of weird behavior but whatever. Then the food arrived. We were 4 to eat. 2 of us took a salad and the other 2 some meat. The salads were rusty and dry. The meats were terrible, like a few days old, and the fries were like 1 day old, microwaved maybe. 1 of the 2 who ate meat even got food poisoning and the other one tried to change her mood with an ice-cream which was also old like... really old. It felt like we were served leftover from forever. None of the waiters were nice & welcoming unfortunately, though I tried to ask someone else, it doesn't change the fact that the food was lost in the land of disgust disguised in a fairy tale dish.
Please, avoid this place and look for real nice one, with nice people and nice food. Avoid famous neighborhood in Paris, they usually don't care since it's only tourists. Parisians know...
Read moreWe went on Sunday and had the Royal Set Menu @ .€25.50 for 3 courses and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It looks like a wooden chalet inside and it's a very nice place to be. It is a very relaxing restaurant. The service was really good and each course was ready at a good rate. The waiters were courteous and waited for us to speak in our pigeon French, and helped us out when required. My first attempt at eating snails may have been a mistake with taking 12 of them. But I really liked them. Similar to a cockle without the taste of the sea, I would say. My partner had the stuffed mussels and she thought they were divine. My Main course was the rump steak, pepper sauce and fries and it was cooked medium exactly as I like it. My partner had the Scallop Nut’s and she said they were beautiful. We both had the profiteroles and they were really nice and surprisingly light. With a litre of Pelforth Lager and 1/2 litre of Coke Light the bill came to just over €64 which we thought was really good value. We're going back Thursday for my partners birthday as this is where, she...
