Hotel Le Lapin Blanc is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Paris. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the interior is mid-modern century mixed with a chic flair of Alice in Wonderland with all the comforts of a good hotel. The hotel is situated on the busy boulevard Saint-Michel but inside you will find an oasis of rest. The beds are comfortable and the shower (and bath in some rooms) are a moment of relaxation along with the bath products with honey. There is a mini fridge, a tv, hair dryer, a mini safe, wifi and coffee and tea facilities. And extra: delicious macarons that Alice would approve off.||At breakfast guests have a choice of two types of breakfast; Express and Continental. Express includes drinks, pastries, fresh bread (with jam and honey) and yoghurt. Continental includes everything from Express including a buffet of various cheeses and meats, eggs, sausages and baked beans. ||The hotel is situated in the fifth arrondissement of Paris where you will find a lot of culture like the Pantheon, the Notre Dame, the Louvre museum and Musée d'Orsay. Or take a walk through the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg for some peace and quit in this vibrant city.||For transportation there are different possibilities. You can take a Hop-on Hop-off bus but I would not recommend it. It's busy with tourists and there can be long waiting lines. Opt for these (low cost) transportation tips instead. Around the corner of the hotel is Metro station Cluny-la Sorbonne. The metro is a cheap way to get everywhere in the city and you aren't run over by tourists. If you like some exercise then the Vélib bike-share system via app is the thing for you. Or just walk and wander through the beautiful streets of Paris. ||For shopping you can visit the Champs-Élysées and the area around it. But closer to the hotel are some lovely places to visit as well. Step outside your hotel and walk straight into the elegant and artistic Saint-Germain-des-Prés (6th and 7th arrondissements) where you will find many different (antique) shops and the famous Pont des Arts. In the 5th arrondissement (where the hotel is) lies the oldest district in Paris: the Latin Quarter. Here you will find, among lovely old streets and shops, the Pantheon and the historic Cluny Museum. If you cross the Seine you will find Le Marais in the 3rd arrondissement. A very creative place full of boutique shops and don't forget a visit to Centre Pompidou.||For food you would not have to look far. Paris is a hub for delicous and diverse food. Visit Angelina, in the gardens of Musée du Luxembourg, for delicious teas, hot chocolate and mesmerizing pastries. Love some more sweet? Laduree is just a minute away at Place Edmond Rostand. And look further then the lovely macarons because besides fresh made drinks there are a lot of sweet treats to choose from. Looking for lunch? On boulevard Saint-Michel you will find Le Choupinet wich offers French brasserie cuisine. And for extra fun: you can sit with a larger than life teddybear at your table. At night you can visit Le Vingt in the Latin Quarter for some cheesefondue or raclette. Or choose a la carte.||Paris has so many hidden gems that you will need definitely a couple of trips to this beautiful city and Hotel Le Lapin Blanc is the...
Read moreThe property was visually clean. It is pretty well located near the center of Paris. I had a lovely chat with the receptionist when I arrived. The breakfast was very good. The staff was generally very friendly and helpful. My interior room was very quiet, despite being on a very busy street. the bed was comfortable and the room was plenty big for me. ||When I got to my room, I did the bedbug check that I do at every hotel. All was clean for the pillows and duvet. When I pulled back the duvet, I saw a one centimeter dark spot on the mattress protector. I could see it through the bottom sheet. Obviously, the person who changed the sheets would have been able to as well. Pulling off the bottom sheet it became clear it was period blood. I thought about just flipping it over because I didn’t see any other evidence of bedbugs, my primary concern, but decided that was gross. I called downstairs and the receptionist apologetically brought up a team to switch it out. On the new mattress protector, I found washed out black spots that could have been from stains old bedbug excretions, which freaked me out because there could still be eggs. The receptionist told me it was the last mattress protector they had so I asked her if they had a dryer on the property. They do so I asked her to put it in on high for 90 min. That should kill any possible bugs or eggs and was the best option I had in that circumstance. It made my stay quite stressful for the first four days until I concluded that I wasn’t getting any bites and was probably safe from bugs. Given the circumstance, hotel staff did what they could to alleviate my concerns. Bedbugs are a reality at hotels. I had a bedbug sniffing dog check my luggage when I got home from my month long trip and I didn’t pick up any so fortunately my story ends well but it was a stressful few days. ||As other reviewers suggested, the shower did leak. You could put some wide tape on the shower door to help with that. Or just ask for more towels. ||Aside from the stress of possible bedbugs, my stay at this hotel was very nice. I felt safe. If I wasn’t so concerned about bugs, I would stay there...
Read moreSuch a cute hotel with it's "Alice through the looking glass" vibe. The front stall as a group was very friendly and helpful. However, Gabriella and Victor (hope I got your names right) really stood out. As an example We were actually in the metro station on our way to a tour. And as suburban Americans have no idea how to use the ticketing machine to hey where we were going. Out of nowhere Gabriella appeared behind us and helped us get our tickets. She was on her way to work, and recognized 2 of her guests having problems and stepped up to assist. Another example is we were getting in late from a dinner and at midnight Victor remembered that I had mentioned I purchased champagne the day before for a celebration that night. He rushed downstairs and collected 2 glasses and ice so we could enjoy our night. All of this is without being asked. Thanks to both of you! The hotel itself is about what you would expect from a good boutique establishment. The rooms were big enough and comfortable with plenty of places to sit and relax after a day of touring. The room was quiet from the street and had really neat views from the windows, which were situated on either end of our top floor room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we never had any issue sleeping to recharge our batteries. The only downsides to our stay is that it seemed some of the advertised amenities like room service were not actually available. The breakfast (which we did not include in out price but did eat once) was underwhelming and doesn't seem worth the price of 17 euros a person. We only had one coffee cup available in the room and as we used it, one more replaced it, not really an issue, just odd. But for the pleasant stay these we definitely minor issues. The location is amazing with a bounty of little neighborhood brasserie around every corner. Easy access to both public transportation and taxis. Beautiful historical parks and structures literally around the corner. A very incredible trip and...
