Bad experiences the first day and awful conditioning during our whole stay make me want to give this hotel 1 star for the prices it charges, but there are some good things, so 2 stars.
Courteous and helpful staff, good breakfast, good location, elevators (not a given in smaller hotels in Paris), clean rooms, comfortable beds (generally - a friend in another room complained that hers was not). Those are the good points.
Now for the bad points that ruined my experience and can make yours a problem:
(1) Air conditioner only works during hot weather months, otherwise it is switched to a heating system, and that is central, meaning that despite having an individual control panel in your room, you have 0 control over the room's temperature. If room temperature displeases you, there is nothing you can do other than open the windows and hope that Mother Nature does the cooling for you, given that the outside noise isn't a worse problem in your room;
(2) Room Nascisse is more expensive and actually WORSE (in room size and balcony size) than the lower priced room, do yourself a favour and don't choose this room, get the lower priced and ask for a room in the 5th floor, it's more room size and a nicer balcony for less, just 1 level below Narcisse.
We had problems 1 AND 2 in our stay, plus a sticky button for the toilet water in the WC, which left water running the first time it was used.
General rule (from this and previous experiences): avoid boutique hotels, chain hotels are always better, at similar prices. Boutique hotels are unfortunately a gamble, and sometimes we lose big time.
Only if you don't rent the Nascisse room nor require air conditioning, you should be fine coming here. Otherwise, look somewhere else. Really, the air conditioning is a MAJOR deal breaker. It's simply...
Read moreMy daughter and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel in Paris for four nights, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly, the staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and kind (special thanks to Nacim!). From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The staff was always ready to assist with any questions I had about the area or transportation. Their genuine hospitality truly enhanced our stay. The location of the hotel was exceptional. Situated in a vibrant neighbourhood with easy access to many iconic Parisian landmarks, we found ourselves within walking distance of numerous cafes, shops, and attractions. Being centrally located made exploring the city a breeze. As for the accommodations, I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of our room. It was immaculately maintained with modern amenities and tasteful decor. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of sightseeing in Paris. Overall, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of delightful. The combination of the friendly staff, excellent location, breakfast selection and the quality of the room made our trip to Paris memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in this...
Read moreThis hotel is definitely not a four star hotel. I've even stayed in better and cheaper BeB. The air conditioning didn't work the entire trip. calling reception on the first day they said they would call and asked us to choose the temperature but it was a lie. on the second day it didn't work again but the answer was: OPEN THE WINDOW!!! unbelievable. the street the hotel is on is extremely busy and very, VERY, VERY noisy, that's why the room gets so hot, it has a very heavy window and acoustics that muffles the sound a little but makes the room very hot. Conclusion: impossible to sleep. But we stayed awake because we continued the trip very early. At 6 in the morning we checked out and breakfast was already set, but when we went to get ONE EGG, the receptionist (the same one at the window) prevented it in a very rude way. and he said "will leave the ugly breakfast for the guests". As if we were invaders of the place and when we said that it was absurd he told me to complain on the internet then. Ironically. In addition, one of my sunglasses disappeared, as I was in a hurry to leave the hotel, I didn't check the other things. I REALLY hope that at least one person reads this review and stops staying at this place. It was the WORST hotel experience I have ever had in all of Europe. Congratulations to...
